You have found sixth haven't you Paul? Grin

Oh yes, your MoTeC traces show you have and that you can go quicker than that!

Gary
Got you worried have I?  Cool

Well its fair to say its more your sort of track than mine and I've not raced at any Glen layout apart from a few laps in the DP last season which didn't last long.

The traces were useful to me though Shocked

HTH.  Sorry I didn't have any low fuel ones for a proper comparison.

your MoTeC traces

You little beauty Gary - I didn't even know iRacing would work with Motec! I shall look forward to creating a sea of pretty patterns I can't understand as soon as I get home Smiley

Does anyone know how I'd go about comparing with another driver - would I just need them to email me whatever the output/ export file is? Would genuinely be a help to see my traces vs. an alien type!

Hope to see some of you on the practice server later btw!

It works well enough with Patrick Moore's excellent Mu program. Not all channels are available such as suspension data but I believe thats planned in the next build.

iRacing limit what is put out in real time, Paul understands it better than I do.

Cheers Pops - yeah to be honest Gary I didn't think I'd be able to see anything at all in real time, certainly with GTR it was only ever for post-run analysis but that would be a nice touch!

Just going to have a look at this MU program now....

Apologies Gary/ Paul, had my head in Motec when you chaps disappeared!

This template was in the MU prog thread and it's actually really nice to read - picking stuff up already. Quite looking forward to seeing how it looks over a race distance, if I get lazy on the brakes and so on as I suspect. Already spotted the braking technique needs quite a lot of attention!

Yep that's the one Gary - seems to break it all down into fairly manageable chunks.

I think it's also a blessing for me that the output data from iRacing is fairly limited at the moment! I've got just what I need for the time being to work on my driving but probably not enough to really be of use for the nitty gritty of making setups such as suspension histograms and the like.

So where was everybody?  I'm hoping people were practising offline and we'll have a decent grid tonight.

There's still a championship to decide and this is a brilliant car/track combination.  It's reminiscent of racing Spa at GPL in the adrenalin rush it gives.

It's coming to a pretty pass when I'm topping practice sessions.

this is a brilliant car/track combination.

No doubt I'll bin it after saying this but this config's definitely one of the easier ones to get to grips with being mostly high speed so I would hope for some good racing tonight too if the numbers are there.

At the risk of harping on about it, if the Club England MX-5 race last week here was anything to go by it'll be a classic!
