Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of every-one's connection will be reduced.
(5) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Let's try dual sprints again. I was working the last time around and missed the event and I think it was Clive who suggested we have another go at this. 2 quick sprints usually work well because most of the race action takes place within the 1st 10 laps of a race. These high action sprints should make a nice compliment to the 60 minute strategy races. Please stick around for both events. You won't want to miss the action from the race 2. Get a 2nd chance to beat your rivals and improve upon the 1st race. If you crash out early, continue on or escape to watch other battles on track until the 2nd event starts. I'm sure all of us can learn from watching the in-car and TV action. Race 2 quali session will take place immediately following race 1. If you disco or miss race 1 you can easily join race 2.

Both races use the same stock track - Estoril, but use different vehicles. Race 1 is the Alfa Volumetrico and Race 2 is the Porsche 914.

Wouldn't mind a few minutes between races as I need to get out to Windows and then come back in again to avoid a screen freeze or game crash.

Did I fall asleep and miss Christmas?  Or is this New Year in step with Legzy's Christmas; which was yesterday?

There is a 30 minute practice session between the end of race 1 and quali for race 2. Use this time to practice the 2nd car, restart your computer, top off your beer, what ever you need.

Buggar, buggar .... I really like the Alfas in P&G, and I prefer sprint races. Unfortunately there's no way I can make this one, but I hope sprints will return  Grin

the Volumetrico is a new one on me apart from a bit of a dabble when I first started with PnG so it's a bit of a learning curve.

Just had a quick bash and I will open the bidding with a 2:03.8xx, any advance on that?  My front left tyre looks good for about four laps.

Fancy a go at this as its almost the right format for me, just leave out the "dual" bit and you're there Smiley However, is it just me or is the Alfa cwap/broken? I might have been driving SGT/iracing for to long and lost any little PnG skill I had but the way this thing squirrel's around (i.e veers and jags around willy nilly) on the brakes leaves me frustrated as hell and it ain't fun. (Might be my memory but I'm sure I've had the same moan about the Alfa previously and been told its realistic or something Roll Eyes).

The Porka is a different matter Smiley

The brakes into T1 are a bit of an issue.  Backend behaves as though it's on castors.

I've been winding the brake ballance forward and will soon have no rear brakes at all.

Trouble with it is, it locks the brakes real easy. I have set mine to 68/32 & 80% & also turned the brake sensitivity right down in the controller setup, still tricky but drivable. Best lap so far 2.02.6.
