Hear ya Darren, I'm definitely of the same view that racing on the track is the way to go but the idea was that this would throw more margin for error into the mix, hopefully ensuring some battles. As it was, I only caught out myself from the sound of things lol! I probably should have kept up the fight with you at the beginning but I realised we were slowing each other up and Dave was capitalising so I thought I'd see if I could encourage you into a stop and give myself a few laps to concentrate on some tidy laps instead of mirror watching while you thought about it before rejoining me.

It was a bit of an experiment but in the end I don't think it was the format that robbed you of some decent racing Daz, it was my driving basically! After the stops we came out of the pits within about 10 yards! I couldn't believe it, we'd been racing hard for a good chunk of laps (apologies for lack of accuracy - I never really know what's going on LOL) and then we both came out on the same stretch of black stuff to resume the battle. You always hope that's going to happen but it's rare for me at least - usually somebody's made a mistake along the line somewhere to create a gap.

Unfortunately as an example how not to race, not only did I have a little slide and get it on the grass at one stage, but I then proceeded to run out of fuel on the start/ finish, enter the pits backwards at well over the limit and then drive like a pratt for five laps, seeing off any chance you had of a race with me and all my good work!

Anyway hands up this evening chaps - should've announced the race earlier, 6 isn't enough and that was blatantly my fault which is a shame as I really do think this is a good combo. With so much room for error getting the power down, particularly in the slow stuff it really makes dicing fun as you both inevitably get excited but try to keep it neat.

I'm probably slightly biased but I actually enjoyed the 60 mins in any case, love this track and the car too at the right circuit. I saw some action with Dave, Darren and Adam at various stages (unlucky mate!) and God knows I need pit stop praccy for the enduros so it was mission accomplished on that front!

Thanks all for coming, nice to see Raimo join us from Adam's enduro league - new developments for ACHF in the pipeline....watcha dis space Smiley.

You had control over that though - you could've reacted to each of my stops by pitting yourself on the next lap, which would've put you back on the track somewhere close to me. In fact, that would've been the logical thing to do, as you might have capitalized on your good start and stayed ahead. By staying out you put yourself out of contention.

Very true, I could have.  At the time I was having fun battling with James and I didn't want to throw that opportunity away.

From a purely selfish point of view, I wished you and James had stayed out on the track for longer before pitting.  It would have been a great tussle with the 3 of us fighting for position each lap.  Having said that, I fully understand why you did what you did.  In terms of winning the race you did the right thing.

Yeah, it was a pleasant surprise to rejoin the track just in front of you.  I was just gearing myself up for another battle when you threw your car off the track in a cloud of smoke. Shocked  Roll Eyes Sad

Anyway, thanks again for hosting.  Hopefully these little battles between us will continue into season 5 (providing I can afford to pay Gary enough to keep his motec black magic to himself Wink )
