Setup constraints: None

Pit stops: Two mandatory

Resets: Unlimited

Start procedure: Standing

Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKiR Rules before joining - particularly those concerning general conduct and in-game chat messages.

Pit Stops: You must make a minimum of two pit stops during which you must take on at least 1 litre of fuel and/or change at least two tyres. You cannot take a mandatory stop at the end of the pace lap, or with less than 1 lap to go.

Yeah the stops should mix things up a tad, particularly as the pit lane entrance is a bit vicious!

Legends or Advanced Legends? I'm guessing the latter.  I presume full course yellows WON'T be in effect - as and hour behind the safety car would be very dull Cheesy

Ah yes, unless otherwise stated I always think of the Legends as the Advanced - what's the matter with you, not telepathic or something!?  Grin

As for the yellows - I'm yet to see them come out and I've been using them in pretty much every round. Not entirely sure what you would have to do to get the safety car out on track tbh but yes I'm going to leave them set to full course for the time being as I love the idea of everyone being bunched up at some point. If anyone knows how they work and fancies explaining it please feel free!

Yeah I have to agree Bernie, shame you can't make it - these Legends are great fun and I'm hoping on a big wide, smooth track with plenty of twists and turns there should be lots of space for overtaking!

That was awesome fun ... but it was Anything Can Happen Fridays ... and it did.

Had a nightmare mid race after a really solid start - then had a spin, pitted ... a couple of little offs ... got the 2nd stop out the way, never got in a rhythm again after that.  Oily got past me as I spun ... and then the missus was banging on the window as she forgot her keys so I quit back to the pits.

After that I didn't really feel like carrying on, but it was a hell of a lot of fun to drive before that.

Still - on the bright side ... it's a fun race, it's not like I had a decent finish in the Grand Am stolen from me.


Cheers to the brave few who were on track - a proper test of the driver to be sure - and your arms, the FFB is epic in those toy cars Cheesy

Great fun in spells.  Shame most of the time I was on my own...

No pit stop practise and a silly spin (while deselecting my tyres) made Dave's win look even easier..  Well done Dave.

I quite enjoyed them - I knew the start was going to be a problem as I completely failed to practice it laugh and sure enough on slipping to 3rd by turn 1 I made the most of it and pitted immediately to get out onto some clear track and put some good laps in.

Stayed out until I was about to catch Adam and then did my second stop, putting me back onto a clear track. I kept pushing like mad and watched the gap slowly, slowly come down; with about 10 to go it looked like I might have as much as 12 seconds in hand after Darren's second stop, but with just 3 or so to go he lost it over the brow at the end of the lap which handed me a big lead all the way to the flag.

Pit stops can be good for longer races because they add an element of strategy into the race.  However, in my opinion they shouldn't be forced onto the driver, and they certainly shouldn't be be added just for the sake of it, because they nearly always interfere with the racing out on the track (the exciting stuff).  The second pit stop just wasn't needed...  

You drove a great strategic race Dave and deserved to win.  However, if I had known before hand that the last 24 laps of a 30 lap race was going to be a hot lapping session I probably wouldn't have joined.  After all, this was meant to be a fun race.  Roll Eyes

P.S.  Thanks for the first 6 laps James.  Great fun while it lasted.  It's just a shame our battle didn't go on for longer.  Undecided

You had control over that though - you could've reacted to each of my stops by pitting yourself on the next lap, which would've put you back on the track somewhere close to me. In fact, that would've been the logical thing to do, as you might have capitalized on your good start and stayed ahead. By staying out you put yourself out of contention.
