It's a real shame more care wasn't taken in making this track. It is an edit of the brill modern track originally produced for GTR2 by the same author. If you look carefully you can see the joins and there are holes and surprises all over the tracksides.

Having said that, it's still a fun drive and thoroughly deserving of an event so I'll be there. Probably a mini or maybe a tina for me.

Edit: Won't make this after all, Mrs goldtop's been called into work......hf.

Avoid going off at Knickerbrook. There is a hole in the surface that you may fall into. Also avoid the RH side of the track by the first tree on the RH side after the pit lane exit. There is an invisible obstacle there.

Went off in the fast section and became stuck in the crowds..

Shame really because I really liked the track and the Mini.

Oh well, always next time.

Bugger, went off and ended up in strange world where the car just spins in circles lol

I have to say I am loving GTL, probably more so than GTR2 at the moment. I just find using 6 speed shifter so much more natural and enjoyable and slowly the pace is starting to come, although after a fantastic start I missed a gear and dropped several places by the first turn.

I just need to work on my consistency and keep it on the black stuff lol

I had the same problem. Couldn't get out anymore.

Sorry for the contact in the first lap , Syd. Completely my mistake.

First race in months for me but I hope to become a regular participant again.
And hopefully my standards will also go up a little Wink

See you all next race

Really fun til I went inside a "black hole"  Grin Grin

Unfortunately I compromised Geoffer's race, but I couldn't make anything to avoid you after I lost it on the grass Sad Sorry mate.

Than I had some great fun with Henry, and a couple of intense lap with Syd, but seems that GTL manage contacts between cars properly, so sometimes it's a real fun to race a bit "hardly" than usual  Wink Wink

Shame on me cause I think to be the only idiot to lenghten the Tina final gear ratio, so I was too slow in the straights! I'm still a poor novice with this game... but at least I'm enjoying it!!!

Smiley What a hard race. Quali P3 and really happy to stay with Pelle & Navin for 10 laps. Cheesy  I then drifted off to sleep and made a few stupid errors. Angry  I was very aware of a flying Geoffers closing in the last 8 laps real pressure.  Shocked Unfortunately my PC black screened on Lap 29 "Running an old graphics card as my 9800GT expired yesterday this is the second one to expire in 12 months  Angry I'm going off Nvidia" and I reappeared on the grass well off track but luckily no damage. I was gobsmacked that Geoffers was still 3.5s behind but finished a very happy P3....Feeewwww.

Great racing with you guys as usual and a nice event with some really close racing Tony well done.  Wink

No worries Manteos, these things happen, its racing! By the way I was running the middle gearing too.

Had I good battle with Mark until then, hassling Pelle's Falcon as well. But I had a fun race chasing down Phil, Tibs & finally Mark after that. Got the gap down to around 4s on lap 29 & then got a wheel off the track exiting Cascades & spun  Roll Eyes Was surprised to see Mark rejoining further around the lap, bad luck with the black screen, but at least you held on to 3rd.

Congrats to Pelle, Navin & Mark & also to champion Ade.  clap clap clap clap

Cracking series of track/car there Tony, excellent work, as evident by the still good final race turnout.
Shame my attendance took a nose dive from may, since moving onto my shift pattern :'(

First, Big Grats to Ade - Champ in this series  thumbup1 ...incredibly close battle in the next three spots  Shocked Grats
To bad no trophy for Team GTLDK...no wait, we took silver in the Team Championship  thumbup2 Grats to Team Kerb Crawlers.

Practice:
I did not know what car I had to choose & choice was between Daimler 450 & Ford Falcon, but Daimler is a qual engine for 10 laps. The tires are worn out after 5 laps with Falcon...really a difficult choice  Huh The choice was Falcon, my Mustang setup from Hockenheim worked really well, obviously with some corrections. Now the only question, how do I get tires to work for 30 laps ?  Undecided

Qual:
hehe

Race:
This was harder than I had expected, Falcon is fast on the straight, but everything is lost in turns & I had to remember to run as it was on the ice if the tires had to keep the finish. I let NRJ go by, I could see my way to ride slowed him (because of the tire wear) but I would like to have we got many points & would not lose more places & thought 'WTF' let us have something exciting race  Grin
Great ending, but it's coincidence that I am running first over the finish line, this was a real Team race at its best  Grin Grats NRJ & Cinderby, too bad you only entertained us for 10 laps  Cool
Big thanks to Team GTLDK, we have not been the biggest customers in this series, but we end with honor  punk
Thanks to Tony R - fantastic work again  Cheesy

Edit: This series deserves to finish with a Report  Wink ...wow, now I discover, race length 55 minutes  sweatdrop

Lots of fun running this version of Oulton Park Grin. Got the break from Pelle on lap one and returned the favor on the last lap Wink Raced most of the time watching Pelle in my mirrors sliding the @#$% out of that Falcon Shocked Pelle could of got me at anytime through the first 2/3rds of the race but then made a mistake that set him back a bit. I could see he was really having to try hard to get back up to me but kept going off at the right hander kink at the end of the back straight. I was getting faster and I'm sure that Mustang of Pelle's had some tire wear going on so it was very fun at the end when we were very close in speed. Congrats to Pelle and Mark for there solid performance's Great to see such a good turnout once again Grin. A big congrats to the Champion Ade who manage to Pody at every race he started. Very impressive indeed. And grats as well to Geoffers and Mark for their for 2nd and 3rd place finish in Championship Cool. Cheers and thanks to Tony for once again putting on a great series thumbup1. Amazing the ups and downs different sims have and yet once again GTL is stronger than ever thumbup2

Thanks Tony for another wonderful Series, nice to race on proper tracks without all those stupid chicanes to slow everybody down.  Congrats to Ade, Geoffers and Mark for success in this Series.  I'd like to think I'd helped to contribute to the Kerbies team prize but with the 1st and 2nd in the team you can see where all the points were scored.

I was a funny (peculiar) night.  Practiced off line both Mini and Cortina and decided the Mini was the nicest drive and tire wear wasn't an issue.  Last night I had difficulty with the Mini and after failing to record a decent outlap, let alone a decent qualifying lap changed to the Cortina.  Qualified this with new PB for car.

In race managed to avoid a 4 car incident on the first lap, how I threaded through them still baffles me.  After that caught SpecialKS and we had about 7 laps of good close nip and tuck racing with whoever got the best line and run out of a corner passing or closing right up.  Then I tried to cut down the inside of knicker brook, when off on the exit, then I had a couple of bad corners and he got away.  He must have had an off as I got him back in sight and closed up.  We then had about another 7 laps of close racing until I went wide at the last corner letting him back through again.  On the last lap I made a mistake trying a do or die attempt to close up for a battle to the line and ran wide, leaving SpecialKS to finish a couple of secs ahead.

Thanks for a good clean race and giving me racing room on corners.
