Right, own up. Who spiked my pre-race drink with acid? Apologies to any who got caught out by my stationary car. The trip came on suddenly and I lost all use of my limbs. Tried carrying on but couldn't see the edges of the track and when I got the third cut track warning I decided to give up and float off round the room.

I was wondering why you showed as DQ so early in the race. I guess it's something we all do from time to time. Speaking of dumb errors I did my party trick of trying to pull away from the start before engaging 1st gear DOH! Sorry for anyone behind me who must have had to take avoiding action. Which leads me on to my narrow miss when I found Phil stationary on the start/finish straight. I must of done one of the longest broadside slides ever seen but fortunately did not hit anything solid and was able to continue undamaged. Otherwise it was a quiet race once I had passes the non-porsche drivers. Tried to catch Sandoor but although the gap closed to single figure I ran out of time and he triumphed.

Well done to everyone who didn't take the obvious choice of the Porsche. It was inevitable that one race would have only one really fast car left to choose. The next races will produce harder and possibly more varied fields IMO.

Geoffers is looking invincible now but we still have a long way to go so who knows. Hope he keeps the same form for next Tuesdays F1 race at Sepang  Wink

Thanks to everyone who took part, much appreciated guys. Hope you all had a good race.

That's the kiss of death on my chances then, lol.  Grin

Well that went well, I didn't expect to complete the race without an 'off' as I kept making mistakes in testing & qually, but somehow it all came together in the race. Followed Goldtop for a few laps at the start, had a couple of attempts at a pass but Goldie was a bit better on the brakes. About lap 8 Goldtop made a mistake at the esses (T6-7?) & I got ahead. Had to drive hard the rest of the race with Goldtop only about 2-3s behind, our laptimes nearly identical. Only in the last 3-4 laps did the gap widen to the 4s it was at the finish.

Congrats to Goldtop & Mark  clap clap & well done to all who didn't take the Porsche, it was clearly 2-3s faster than anything else.

Just a quick query on the results Tony, Sqter is shown in a TR4 & as a DNF. Didn't he drive an Escort?  & in my results he finished 6th.  Huh

Sqter overtook me near the end, but it was showing him in 12th on his name tag.

Nabbed pole and had a nice neat start off the line. Geoffers was behind me all the way in the opening laps and was threatening to have me into T1 on a couple of occasions. I was concious of his better speed through and off the final turns which put pressure on me to have a good middle section. Consequently I ran wide through the awkward T7 and he was through. Wasn't able to close the gap for the rest of the race and made a couple of small errors in desperation towards the end. Great driving Geoffers....I don't think I saw you make a mistake all race Cool

Looks like I'll have to find another car now.

Yeh, I thought that on the in-game results board at the end of the race he was shown as 12th, but when I ran Analyzer he was shown as 6th. Also I don't remember lapping him, unless he was off-track somewhere.

The race file produced by GTL was abnormally large with many, many duplicated errors. Dave had to spend time sorting it all out before we could publish the results. Sqter's entries were highlighted as being the most dubious and Dave has asked if there are any anomolies with the results as published.

If anyone spot's anymore errors please let us know in this thread. I will run the replay tonight (or over the weekend) to confirm.

Best result for me this season but a very lonely race.

I passed 2 guys who had an incident in Lap 1 and that was it. After 20 laps I was lapped by number 1 and 2 and for the rest nothing happened.
Gap in front of me was increasing by 1,5 secs a lap and the gap behind was pretty steady.

I hope for a bit more action in the next race, although it will probably end in tears  Grin

Sqter overtook me near the end, but it was showing him in 12th on his name tag.

Same here only 10 laps earlier.
