So what times are people doing? I've just sneaked into the 1:58s on qualy fuel and managed the odd 1:49 on fuel.

Just had the first go with this at RA, first flying lap with a full tank of fuel was 1.51.001 but didn't get any quicker as I kept chucking it at the scenery. Some more practice required I guess.
I've been too busy blasting the Corvette, Williams and Dallara round Spa of late.
Regards Gary

Interesting that you've not trying the DP considering the first track in the Radical/DP series...

Don't forget chaps, I'm not going to run a practice session tonight because they cost money and there are any number of official ones we can dive bomb. Might I suggest that anyone who wants to practice today makes a point of looking through the available sessions for any SRO people? Paul

Yes. I'm trying to synch both series with the official ones where I can to give people opportunities to practice and maximise the availability of setups. Obviously with the Rad and DP running in separate series that's more difficult but I'll do my best. first flying lap with a full tank of fuel was 1.51.001 lol :'( I'm sure Gary'll be on the pace with a bit of practice though.

I think you missed my meaning, My best round here is a low 53 after many laps! I'll try my best to keep out of everyones hair.

Try PJ Stergios' setup from the main forum. He uses a front bar to give the car stability which makes it great over long runs. That makes it understeer into the slow stuff but you can compensate by using a lower gear, not trail braking and turning the wheel more. If I'm in the 1:49s on race fuel I'm damn sure you can get under 1:53. It's just a case of driving each corner on it's merits.

1.50.4 for me after loads of effort! 11gals of fuel. Tried PJ's setup but I am at least 2 secs slower in.... seems to come down to.... I can't brake late / efficiently enough, then I understeer and miss the apex, then am late on the power etc. ... At least with my setup I brake earlier, mostly find the apex and am on the power sooner! Frustrating... feel like I need to be single again so I have way more time to get used to it!

Cheers for the help Paul. setup definately helped. Doing 51's now.
Gearing is definately helping. Might give my old setup a go with that gearing.

No problem mate, happy to help. A lot of the quicker boys use shorter gearing I think because they were changing up a lot earlier than I do. I like PJs geraing though as it gives you the option of using the long 1st gear on the slower corners to recover if you get it a bit wrong and lose apex speed. It'll be interesting to see how many people we get tonight. It's worryingly quiet round here. Paul
