H@L, can't remember if I told you this, but when we made the tank size increase, Dave did it in a way that he could easily adjust them all/individual classes in future. So if you wanted to make them bigger/smaller it's a quick change for him in the physics pack to suit what the organiser plans for the season.  Smiley

I noticed the Mandatory pit stop has changed from 0 stops when it was a 40min race
to 1 stop with a 60 min race and 2x fuel?
Surely theres more chance of someone being able to do 40 mins without stopping than doing effectively 2hrs without stopping ( impossible probably).  Huh

Maybe this should be in a suggestions section so I'll put it here to see other peoples thoughts.  angel

Wouldn't it make more sense to be the other way around.
 (40 min race - 1 mandatory stop)
 (60min race @ 2x fuel - 0 mandatory stop)
Plus one of the best things about Endurance simracing is that for the people who are not so fast to race at the front with sprint race speeds then they can at least drive more consistently and efficiently to gain a few places by using hard tyres, carrying more fuel and driving at 95%, but by having mandatory stops cancels this out.  Sad
(I know it will be unlikely to change anything from this race anyway as everyone will surely need to pit at least once)

PS just a friendly observation H@L, I appreciate the job you and others do organising races and trying to make them competitive etc.  I Am Not Worthy

The "1 mandatory stop" on a 60mins x2 fuel race, is more there to warn people they'll need a stop (was the same when we did 80mins with the smaller fuel tanks).... you wouldn't be able to complete the distance on one tank of fuel.
So everyone will have to stop for some fuel, the choice is, do you change your tyres or not? Undecided

That was one of the benefits of having 60min races over 80, suddenly there is a tactical decision to be made. Lips Sealed

I'm quite a lairy driver (my rear end is all over & I kill my tyres), so it's very rare I can take advantage of no tyre change... but a driver who is smooth, suddenly has a new option to explore. I believe Busy Vs Berger last season was a battle like that at the front of every race. Berger ahead & Busi trying to keep up > they pit > Busi ahead on tired tyres & Berger trying to catch+overtake! Cool

I'd like us to make a decision: either Endurance race with the stop/no-stop possibility with variable weather or Sprint without a stop and dry track (double race with reverse grid sounds nice).
If this is a fun race I say we go with a double race Sprint. If we're testing for the next season format, let's test something. Smiley

on default setup i`ve been down to 1:28.1 (panoz) and 1:28.3 (997 rsr) but i dont think i could put up with the awful sounds that both of those cars make... so i think i shall use a 996rsr (1:29.3) instead - i like the cockpit layout and the engine sound of that car so i will enjoy my driving more depsite being 1 sec/lap slower!

....because the 996 RSR has been nobbled in our car pack  Roll Eyes  I'm at least 1 sec/lap quicker in the standard car compared with ours and it feels completely different.

Touch and go whether I'll be able to make this one.

We try to make all races so that everyone will need to pit or no one will need to pit, that way the cars are more balanced and the races more fun. The pit stop strategy only really comes into play in the changeable weather races.

If there is ever a single car that can do a race without stopping when all other cars will have to stop then that single car has a massive advantage.

Install the Physics pack first.
