36? Better hope I get my new processor before then! Yeah, although we'll probably only run 24 on the main server as I don't suppose the PC requirements are any less than GTR and that's our limit for that.

The BM CSL is a good option too Pops- very solid and dependable drive. Just suffers a little under braking compared to the rest. Escort is a hooligan and very chuckable. It has a tendancy to get very light at the rear under heavy braking because all the weight is at the front of the car- really extreme braking can see it swapping ends- set the coast pretty high and come off the revs gradually into the braking zones. Current fave is the Capri. Amazing brakes and nearly the same chuckability as the Escort. A tad too much understeer but you can drive around it if you're expecting it. Cannot get on with the Porsches at all despite driving them almost exclusively in GTR

It's a really easy car to drive, although a bit slow down the straight, good round the corners. Not unlocked the LeMans one so don't know about that. The RSR is well understeering but huge lift off oversteer makes it an interesting cornering technique.

There are two CSLs - a lower powered one which is quite well mannered and a high powered one which is a beast.

Hi I will have a try if I can get a capri or escort. Both of which I have driven and race prepared for real. Only driven the rally versions on the road, we used to build and tune both versions however. kindest regards gerald

Wow- it would be really interesting to see how (if) they compare with the feel of the real things Gerald.
Will defo look at the Porsches harder a.s.a.p as I'd really like to drive them. Had to use them for the all Porsche race in the D Cup and obviously didn't tune them enough to get teh best out of them.

Hi Paul the Capri with a german tuned 2.9 v6 used to spin its wheels in 3rd gear as I remember. The rs1600 bda ex works rally car was so fast with its road rally gearing but a pig to drive in town. With forest gearing it was like a rocket and steered on the throttle really well much to the displeasure of the local police (good job I used to fix all their cars and the sergeant was a mate of mine).

Welcome aboard Fozz.
Had a try with 911 last night and got to disagree with Paul. I can't drive them for toffee in GTR but find the natty yellow one pointy and not to twitchy, apart from that tricky downhill section, in comparison. Mind you it might just seem comfortable after many laps in cobra and pantera. Just got to learn how to drive it fast now.

Spent a bit more time with the 911 last night and enjoying it more now that I've had time to tweak things here and there. The back-end is still quite lively but it's nice and 'pointy' as you say. Sounds better than the Porsches in GTR too A fair few cars in GTL seem to suffer from teh same problem (or rather I've not yet fully learnt how to drive around it) namely, braking from very high speed seems to lock up or bog down the rear tyres somehow. It may be caused more by the sudden lift of the throttle than the sudden application of the brakes, haven't worked it out yet. The Alfa is particualrly bad at this, as is the Escort and the 911 to some extent. Is this a peculiarity with race cars of this era?

Roll on this patch is all I can say!
Much needed. Stuck in the garage even with a reboot and change in car meant ZERO practice and many people crashing in the lobby including me.
Erg. Didn't enjoy that.

Damn!!!
That race was epic! Franky and I were nose-to-tail for the whole race and I only nipped 2nd from him on the last 2 laps.
And what does the game give me for a replay??? one quarter of the LAST LAP!!!!
Arrrrrggghhh!!!!

Good fun, but hard work. Got really bogged down at the start and lost about 7 places, will need to practise that. That long braking zone down the hill seemed to get more difficult with every lap, so easy to lock-up. Was pleased with my new PB in qualifying though. Quick reminder - please try to remember not to chat until all racers have finished. I nearly went off twice in the last few corners and the car behind me did. If you've been lapped you'll be finishing a lap early, and cars can be finishing more than 2 minutes behind you.

Hi Missed race joined with crapi at second sitting had not driven this track so race came a bit quick . Got dq for not getting to grid fast enough?. Car felt a bit gutless as ours would spin wheels in 3rd. Brakes were a bit lacking but there again we were probably allowed more grunt and better brakes in club racing .gerald
