Fuel consumption: x2

Pit Stops: You must make a minimum of one pit stop in Race 1 only during which you must take on at least 1 litre of fuel and/or change at least two tyres. You cannot take a mandatory stop at the end of the pace lap, or with less than 1 lap to go.

Server: simracing.org.uk GT1
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules - especially the speed limiter starting procedure and the rules about in-game chat messages.
(2) Standings and schedule can be found on the championship standings page
(3) You will not be able to join the server without the skin and ballast pack and track pack (see links above).
(4) Drivers may only change car once in the season without penalty.
(5) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of everyone's connection will be reduced.
(6) Please use the Driver Details page to ensure that the league management software has your correct GTR2 'Driving Name' (not necessarily the same as your lobby name).
(7) Note that the track is relatively heavy on frame rates, so if necessary turn your shadows and other graphical settings down to ensure that you get a decent number of FPS.

Test race for the track.

I will see if I can organise a SROuk installer for the track so you may want to wait for that first.

The idea here is to see if you can find any faults with the track please. Smiley

We now have a proper installer for the track. Thanks Dave. Smiley

If you have installed the version from NoGrip then you can still join the race using that version, you just will not have the nice SROuk install and unistall options. If you want to delete the NoGrip version so that you can have the installer then, delete the folder named 'Kyalami' from this location:

C:\GTR2\GameData|Locations\

And delete the file 'Kya_GPM_05.hat' from this location:

C:\GTR2\Userdata\LOG\HAT\

Then download and install the SROuk version.

This is a nice track but, I am unsure about some of the curbs and bumps. I managed to get a SuperGT car stuck on some of the curbs and I need to know if it will happen to GT cars when racing in anger.

I hope to use this track for the GT2 class in the championship if this test is successful.

It would be good if people could explore some gravel traps and push the corner cutting etc when practising to help to see if the track is suitable for a championship race.

As this race is about testing the track, please take a pit stop in at least one of the races to help check the pit lane works OK. No need to take on tyres just 1L of fuel.

OK track problem #1
it causes the game to CTD at the initial  carbon-black "gtr2" welcome screen.
Install track - game ctd`s
uninstall track - game works fine
i have tried both humyo and filefront downloads and both exhibit the same problem.
Could it be the installer messing something up?

I have tested and it worked for me. Are you using the NoGrip version?

Having problems with the filefront link, do I need to register to use humyo link?

It is working for me, I have just tried it again. Anyone else having this problem or the same problem as Blito?

Can you see a folder named 'Kyalami' at this location?

C:\GTR2\GameData\Locations\

So as we're still racing... Can you declare pit stops mandatory in either race1 or 2? Just an idea

i take it its Kyalami 2005 we want, not '70 ?

If this is to test the track i would suggest a mandatory stop in one of the races, as legz mentions. Better no surprises in a league race  angel

Mandatory pitstop in race 1 would make sense imo as race 2 can then be all about the fast gents fighting their way through the field.

I reckon the newer Kayalami layout (which bears no resemblance to the old one and has even been reversed IIRC) should be a real tester for GT1s with it's tight turns and chicane.

Yep makes sense and gives the track a better test.

1st post updated, mandatory pit stop in race 1.

Yep. Again 1st post update to say Kyalami 2005.

fixed my problem !  the installer put the track files in a sub folder (one for day and one for night) within the kyalami folder. Copying them to the parent sorted it.
cant say im much impressed by the twisty nature of the track though Sad

The last chicane as you turn in for the first part seems a bit dodgy to me. Only tried the F550 so far but it tries to spin you round if you put the wheels on the red and white and is very odd if you go beyond that.
