Moderator's Report

After the early laps close racing with Tim, Hristo could get a clear win when Tim ran into some trouble looking for a shortcut.

Server replay time: 0h00m30s

After Evil went wide and rejoined the track he moved his car to the right not knowing that Phil was there and there were contact and Phil was out of the race.

When you look at the repaly from Evil`s car you can see Phil disapearing from his mirrors, at 00.01.13 server time, not to reappear in front of him during the rejoin. But oviously Evil did not notice that because when the rejoin is done he act as if he does not know there is a car on his right hand side.

At the time before the contact Phil is in front of Evil, but only just, so this is in fact an overtaking situation. The problem is that Evil is not aware ot that. And Phil is Probably not either but "the car on the grass" must be somewhere and it did not appear in his mirrors so maybe he should have wondered where it was.

But the responsibility must lay with Evil, being the overtaking driver, and he should have known that he was overtaking Phil and eather given him room or backed down.

So because he was not making sure where all cars were during the rejoin Evil lost track of Phil and did not take action to check, using the look right button but drove into Phil.

Nice to see the forum back online. For some reason I couldn't log with my password and had to request a password change via email. I couldn't use my previous password anymore as it seems it has different security requirements now (8 letters and at least 1 capital letter, and 1 number). Anyone else had this issue?

No probs here H , had to log in as usual but otherwise all OK , but my passie does contain letters and numbers so maybe that was the difference .

On the race front Hristo again was in a different race than us mere mortals  Roll Eyes

Afraid I'm way off the pace , couldnt compete with a sleeping sloth let alone race anyone , think the problem is lack of half decent set up info , doesnt seem to be a lot around to crib from . Thought I'd cracked it , loaded up a Paul Skingley "fezzer" set up pre race then discovered too late that it was for the wrong Fez  Undecided  so made the best of a cobbled up default set up during practise , but not enough time to get it tested and sorted .

Even with a fully sorted car doubt I would have improved on my P8 finish though I might not have been lapped by every T D & H  Grin

Don't know why you needed a password change (did you have Caps Lock stuck on? laugh) but the requirements have been tightened up a bit over the last few months as part of my ongoing battle with the spambots. Roll Eyes

No, it wasn't caps-lock, but it looks like my previous password was regarded as invalid or something.

Seems to load very fast now, is everything back to normal?

Many thanks to Giz for recovering this forum from the underworld!!

It is only when you do not have something that you realise how valuable it is!

I think I can speak for all the Sim Racers who use this facility when I say a huge thankyou for your hardwork and the stress that you endured over the past few days in getting us back together.

THANK YOU GIZ!!  clap clap clap clap I Am Not Worthy I Am Not Worthy I Am Not Worthy

Incidentally no probs here in logging on. Used the same password etc and it has no numbers in it, just letters.

Yep a big thanks to Giz.
No problems logging in although every thread in the forum shows as 'unread' - not a problem as easily fixed. I'll give it a few days before closing off our temporary home.
