Problems connecting to the Lobby? Download this

Practice: 19:40 (UK London) (45 mins)
Qual 1: 20:25 (15 mins) everyone out on track
Qual 2: 20:40 (~20 mins) top 6 from Q1 get 1 lap for super pole
Race: ~21:00 (20 laps)
Cars allowed: Ford Falcon Sprint, Alfa Romeo 1600 GTA, Ford Mustang BSCC-Gr2, Ford Mustang NTK-Gr5

Track: Zandvoort 1979
Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry
Start: Standing

Tyre wear: 1X
Fuel consumption: 1X
Pit-stops: None required

Qualifing procedure
  • All drivers participate in quali 1
  • The server will then advance to Q2 where the top 6 will do a 1 lap shootout for pole. All other drivers must remain in the garage. Your grid position from Q1 will be retained.
  • 1 driver on a hot lap and 1 driver on an out lap during Q2
  • The Q2 driver order will be 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 from Q1
  • There are no resets in Q2. If you crash, then make the most of it. Get across the line.
  • The server administrator will advance to the race session once Q2 participants have finished.

Server: simracing.org.uk - P&G
Password: see above

Championship Standings

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Sorry for the late track adjustment guys. If you practiced early your work wasn't in vain. Zandvoort 67 and Zandvoort 79 are very similar. I switched to the 1979 version because I found it a bit easier to drive with the wider track and more grip. The straight is a bit longer which will help with overtaking opportunities. The chicane looks odd at first but can be taken almost flat if approached at the right angle.

I think the matchup should be interesting. The Alfa is the quickest overal for me, but it will likely get swallowed up down the long straight if you don't build enough of an advantage in the twisty bits. The differences in character should create some interesting battles.

Seems like fun.  Shame about the chicane but you can't have it all.

Probably the BSCC for me.

Shame you had to go and put the Alfa in there as well.  Roll Eyes  I suppose that one of them is going to glue himself to my boot lid and then come across all surprised when he shovels me off the track at mid-corner.

Would have gone on the server but it was running Spa.

Would it be considered rude, to appologise for my part in shoving you off track at our next race?

You're getting paranoid Clive, about smaller more agile cars.  Grin

@ Bill:  That's cos they are out to get me!   Grin

@ Stig: Very nice Alfa avatar.(Well it was)  But it should really be fitted with bull-bars (Roo-Bars if racing at Bathurst) to help it to shovel the opposition out of the way after it has smacked into them.  Roll Eyes

Hoping to make this, I'll be in the Alfa - never really get on with the muscle cars.

I'll be back in the Falcon - It seems good fun here. That said the Alfa might be quicker, will have to have a go to find out...

Been laid low with manflu and haven't turned a wheel since Thursday night. May not make this which will be a shame as it looks like a good track/car combo.
