Well done to Team Banana Skin on the team title and to Paul, Brendan and Fred for the individual championships.

Considering Team Shark has only had one driver consistently turning up for every round (Gizmo, our tin-top expert), I am surprised the team title was apparently up for grabs in the final round, but I guess that was down to the low turnouts throughout the season that any team that turned up for a few races was able to grab lots of points each round.

Anyway, I guess that's the end of Tuesday night racing here as I assume no one is going to bother doing a weekday series again with such poor turnouts.

Not bad race for me was bit lonely  :'(

I maybe could of caught Paul up and passed him, around my pitstops, but I made 2 spins during race that costed me the chance of that.

Finished higher than expected with people leaving for what ever reasons...

Suprised Brendan and Purdie had 13 incidents Wink which seemed bit excessive

Would you care to elaborate on why you think that Rob?

Also don't forget the new guidelines on excessive incident points.  This being Spa I wouldn't expect anyone to come away with zero incidents, under 20 on a 26 lap race sounds reasonable to me.

You're hardly an angel are you Rob?  angel

FWIW, I was chasing my title rival in the final laps of the final race of the season, on worn tyres.  You do the math.

I posted my thoughts on the matter before the race and no-one said a word.  The rule as specified simply says "reasonable" and Spa is particularly harsh on 1x incidents so I don't see one every other lap as being unreasonable.

The only place a 1x really gives you an advantage here is at Raidillon and the difference between a 1x and a course cut there is extremely fine as Brendan found out and Gary did in the first Spa race.  Last night every driver kept well within the guidelines I'd laid down and I can't see it's in any way fair to retrospectively move the goalposts.  If we're going to make it more specific, corners per incident or whatever then I have no problem with that but it has to be for future events.

Congratulations Gary on a great drive.  Although the gap at the end was only 3 seconds, this flattered me somewhat as the result was never really in doubt despite my best efforts.

Grats also to Paul on the Radical title and the Bananamen on the team championship.

Also a big thank you to everyone involved with the organising and participation in the Tuesday series'.  Despite the low grids, I've enjoyed myself immensely.

Hope to see you all in the endurance series.

Brendan I think the best thing in this league is the overriding sportsmanship. Its a pleasure racing with you at all times. I don't know about you but I was shown extreme courtesy at all times during practice and qually by all drivers on Tuesday night. Darren and Gary particularly going to extremes to give me a clear run as we were battling for the championship.

The gap between us did not flatter you at all, I was lucky and I think it came down to getting pole. It could have gone either way much like the last time we raced the DP's at Brands, you won that time Grin

Thanks to Paul for organising, obviously with that done I'll be taking the mickey out of you at lunch tomorrow as normal. angel

Gary
