I just want to have a look in the setup tool. Have you tried using something closer to what you use in the original '67 F1s? Since the GTs weight about 30-40% more than the F1 cars, and have similar weight distribution, and given that they're modelled using GPL's physics which are limited to a wishbone suspension, it makes sense to try an F1 setup which has been stiffened by about 30-40% (mostly the wheel rates and ARB).

I've been trying that for the past 3 races of the fun series and it works just great, the car is much more responsive and yet stable, and you can accelerate much earlier. The tire temps are also kept in good range and I'm basically running the same tire pressures as with F1s, but just more negative camber because of the chassis roll in corners.

I even ran minimum ride height at Monza and expected the car to scrape the ground, but it didn't happen. I also noticed that it helps to have the rear set higher than the front, which is something that doesn't always work with F1s.

I know it's probably not realistic, but since we're competing for victory and are limited to what GPL has to offer, using such a setup is a positive thing imo. Plus it doesn't really change the way you need to handle the tires, so you still need to be careful not to slide too much.
