Good news!!!! Turns out it is a problem with the shift linkage. I've got the broken part out and will go to the dealer on Tue to get a new one. Looks like I'm back in once I can get GTL installed.

My availability may have just evaporated. The starter on my truck gave up the ghost and my wife wants me to change it to save some cash. Toyota in their infinite wisdom put it under the intake manifold so it will take quite a bit of time to access.

On Standard Vanguard, the RAF MT fitters, use to put them on the ramp, remove left front wheel and take the starter out through the wheel arch.  Problem is fitting engine complete with accessories into car at factory with no thought of of how to remove components for servicing.

Grin Many years ago I worked for Peugeot as a mechanic. We used to get other independent garages bring us engines in pieces to be rebuilt because of the special tooling involved. Back in the early 80's Peugeot's were a truly horrible vehicle to work on eventually we became a Nissan dealership what a breath of fresh air in those days Nissan's were like Meccano kits and never went wrong. When I worked for Audi the mechanics never worked on a gearbox if they went wrong they were replaced as a unit. Cars are not meant to be worked on these days the manufacturers strive to make them impossible to work on so the owners have to return to the dealers for all servicing.  Roll Eyes

Having practised pit stops, remember folks that the start is downhill and I had a stop and go for false start.  Restarted and watched the replay, the creep it was quite a lot. I think we need to use brakes - Ive not got handbraked designated will have to do something.  So no wild starts please.

They worked for me a few mins ago, you do have to wait a little for the file download box to come up.

Hmm. tried a few out, not convinced.

For Porsche 917 go to REPLAYS. In the GTL box you will find Srou_GTL_Porsche 917K_Hubert_2.0.0.0.exe

Click this and it will download to your PC

EDIT: Now there's a Gamefront download available http://www.gamefront.com/files/20382396/SRou_GTL_Porsche917K_Hubert_2.0.0.0.exe

I was in the server with Henry and M.Cinderby and I saw thier fantastic laptimes (3.07-3.08)!

I was struggling to go under the 3.15 with vintage compound in the Ferrari (maybe I could do a high 3.12 with a great lap risking the life)... then I discovered the Modern Compound, and it was obvious that I was missing something  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes. At the first attempt I managed a 3.06.8xx.

In the case I will join this race, it's possible to use the Modern compound? Or we have to use the Vintage? I'm saying this because there's a really huuuuuge difference in terms of laptimes and wear with these 2 different tyres set.

Thank you in advance Smiley

Read the race announcement. Particularly the Notes at the bottom.  Roll Eyes Modern Compound is not to be used as only a couple of cars get this option.

PLEASE NOTE

Drivers are asked NOT to use the Modern Compound tyre.

Not all the cars have this option so it's unfair to use them.
