I am having problems running the game again.

I have just re-downloaded and reinstalled and it is crashing when trying to run the config. Sad

I remembered to back the game up this time so I will not need to download it again.

Trying to sort it now.

Considering that was the 1st time I've fired up evo... I quite enjoyed that with a total 11 mins practice Cool

Always liked Brands & the Z4 was a nice easy car to drive at a decent pace.

No massive difference between this & GTR2 for me, happy with either/both as the majority decide. Smiley

Not tried this until tonight
Had two laos in Aston, Z4 and Seat, liked Seat bizzarely as I usually despise rear engines
was like a 911 only the way one probably should feel. Never seen the pit proceudre before and sat there
hitting return for a while before using the down arrows..... took a silly long stop and cam out having
only added a few litres and with old tyres. Like it. less choice than GTR2 GCT but I like this better.

mildly enjoyed that though it all seemed a bit nonchalant half hearted. Undecided

Like most it seems, i had about 15mins practise for this and hadnt used the GT club class cars before.
First half of the race was pretty good with some hard chasing after Picnic and TT, due to some over excited driver in the first lap hitting me and another at Druids, allowing the front 5 to scamper off.
Racing was tough with Picnic/TT as it was about the time when our tyres were going off i think but enjoyed several laps of battling before each person ahead started pitting. I hadnt read the race announcement properly so didnt know we had too  Embarrassed but i pitted very late with about 10mins remaining , fumbled my keys in the pits selections and dropped from 1st to 7th  Roll Eyes

Club class is worth a few more events to get a feel for the different cars, though they arent as great as the GTP class imo.

mentioned this before, but if your pc is good enough to turn all the eye candy on then do so! Brands is transformed from what i use to see it as in sim racing. The trees round the back half really loom in with their shadows etc making it very realistic and all the extra candy looks a treat  Cool

Anyone know whats changed to knock out the telemetry/XD etc ?

There was a Race 07 update i the last week or so. I think they sniff memory locations to get the data many of which will have moved with the new build Sad

I see I become too much dependent on XD. Didn't know what was happening with tyres or brakes or engine. Sad
Even without XD problems I had a lot of trouble setting up any of the cars. Settled with BMW in the end but the ride was far from pleasant. Really surprised me how different this class is from Sport, which was great. Well, that's my impression, anyway. Even so, it was nice to see a few people on server and if we decide to have a Club class Championship, so be it. Smiley

I wasn't able to run consistently through the race. Felt fronts melt away, then set my fastest lap in the next one. How about that? Huh Reminds me of iR, that does. Wink

Yeah shame about the XD but i had some parts of it working.

I actually felt a bit happier about it all after the race, the cars are a bit slower, easier to drive on defaults. I barely got on the server half way through practise after i realised i needed to download the steam update then it didnt want to start. I saw there was a steam client update but it wasnt updating itself. Closed Steam and restarted it and it seem to kick in again.

With barely any practise i was enjoying the Aston, I do seem to be drawn to them for some reason. Though in the race it defintely seemed to have a better top speed than others drafting straight past the people who had just lapped me!

The diffs still confuse me, default look too high so i drop them down to GTR2 levels but it feels a bit different. Went too far before the race which helped make it quite oversteery getting back on the power. However as the tyres wore down I ended up hitting the barriers loosing my front splitter and bonnet.

Decided to divert around the indy loop as it was a handful and so picked up a stop-go, rightly Grin then pitted for repairs. Then just drove around till the end.

Sorry to Apex for hitting him at Druids on the first lap. I guess i was trying to stick my nose too far up the inside.
