is this the normal attendance for i-races? have been thinking of renewing my sub but if grids are just as low as the GTR events then just not worth it. I dont want an expensive hotlapping sim.  Undecided

Mark, whilst some may not agree I think the Srou sprint races are finished while some of the official races now get very good attendance.

I really do enjoy racing Dave, Mike, Brendan, Simon, Paul, James and many others but the attendance is too low here now. I'll run the last two races but unless the situation can be reversed I will start finding a series I'd like to run in the official races.

I don't think the problem is iRacing, its that iRacing's concept is now becoming successful and the leagues (not just this one) are suffering because of it.

Regards
Gary

I'm not so sure of that, I'd still much rather do league racing against the same familiar people week in week out rather than attend the random grids the official races throw up. The problem I have is lack of skill and practice time. I can't jump between the cars in the same way I can in the Simbin game collection and race safely. It's simply that lack of skill & practice time that keeps me away from the Tuesday events currently. I'd hope to run more as I improve slowly with iR.

Pete don't get me wrong I'd love to continue racing here, whilst I had a long layoff from UKGPL days (02-08) I always intending to race here. Trouble is the fields just aren't big enough Sad

As I prefer Endurance racing, that's been taking priority and I just don't have the skill to jump into another car without mucho practice and that's where the time constraints come in Sad

If it were a car that required less prep I'd be there, the DP and Radical are like a full-time job for me to get comfortable in.

The way the main league series are working now means that people tend to race at the same time every week.  On Saturday nights I'm racing against basically the same guys in the the Rad/Corvette series with other occasionals bulking up the fields.  How is league racing fundamentally different?

If everyone just wants to do endurance racing then fine, no problem I'll race somewhere else.  Practising hard to race in a grid of half a dozen people is a waste of time.

Why did the Legends team stop racing Tuesdays en bloc by the way?  Did we do something wrong?

There's lots of individual reasons why the guys aren't racing much at the moment. I think it's because we generally prefer endurance racing although we're not even turning out in force for that at the moment Sad

Gary has a point, there's always the official series, being able to race at different times when it suits is a big deal for some people when they can't commit to a certain slot each week.
