Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

Lap 2

Into T1 Robert is late on the brakes, and rear ends Adam. This was the first flying lap, and more caution should have been excercised.

Server replay time: 1255s

Simon spins, and remains stationary to prevent compounding the problem as Raimo and Iain approach. Unfortunately Iain clips the front of Simon's car when trying to avoid him.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 4034s

In a less than ideal spot for passing, Dimm tries the inside, the car is unsettlesd and he drifts into Simon.
Whilst David was close behind Dimm, they weren't on the same lap, and as such the pressure to pass Simon was reduced.
A pass on the following section would have been much preferred, as contact in that corner was almost certainly unavoidable.
(No penalty requested)

Sorry to be negative, but this layout has to be about the worst possible thing for a mixed class race, especially given the difference in speeds. Three quarters of the track is a not straight, making it problematical to say the least to let faster cars by. The bit up the hill will be a nightmare to lap or be lapped  Shocked

... We can swap it for another variant I guess .... I agree ... it's not really the best of the VIR layouts.

Swap to full?

Sorry David .... had it been a single class race I wouldn't have a problem sticking with it, but I think that given the cars we're running the full layout is better suited to it.

Agreed!  You've made the right decision Adam, what took you so long? Wink

I spent some time over the weekend around VIR North.  It's not suited to mixed class racing.  Once you leave the main track there is nowhere to safely pass until you are back on the main straight.  That's a long time to be held up by a Stang....

I would fear for their safety at VIR North!

You are right, the Stang isn't one of my favourite cars...  But that doesn't mean I want to see Stang drivers taken out by frustrated, impatient DP drivers.
