Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

Lap 2

Into T1 Robert is late on the brakes, and rear ends Adam. This was the first flying lap, and more caution should have been excercised.

Server replay time: 1255s

Simon spins, and remains stationary to prevent compounding the problem as Raimo and Iain approach. Unfortunately Iain clips the front of Simon's car when trying to avoid him.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 4034s

In a less than ideal spot for passing, Dimm tries the inside, the car is unsettlesd and he drifts into Simon.
Whilst David was close behind Dimm, they weren't on the same lap, and as such the pressure to pass Simon was reduced.
A pass on the following section would have been much preferred, as contact in that corner was almost certainly unavoidable.

Ah ok as long as you change Brands GP to the Indy circuit Smiley

Brands GP isn't too bad.  The only real problem is Westfield through to Stirling's bend.  That's only a small portion of the lap, unlike VIR North where half the circuit is a multi-class hazard.

I just think a short track event would really spice things up, brands indy would be pretty intense Cheesy

Adam, I think you made the right decision with VIR, the north layout is not good for cars of wildly different speeds.

Bearing in mind the chaos we had at Brands Indy a few seasons ago in the Skippy I can't see how that is a good layout for mixed class racing either.

Don't be ridiculous Roll Eyes Concord is *much* better suited to multi-class racing Smiley

Thanks for the welcome in the signup thread Adam.
Been looking for somewhere to race some multi-class races where there's a little more respect shown when lapping the slower class. Some of the moves i see pulled on the Mustang drivers in the official races just concern me mightily and i'm in one of the faster cars myself!
Not sure how you guys operate and don't mean to tread on anyone's toes but if there's enough interest for a hosted practice server on Friday or Saturday then i will gladly sort something out, let me know.
Look forward to racing with you all

Ian

Good stuff Ian.  There is a hosted practice server on the Saturday night before the race - it runs from 6-10pm (UK time).

I wonder if that's one of the tracks getting more pit stalls in iRacing "2.0". laugh
