Hi.

I've been playing more arcade driving games for a while now. I'm now fed up with speed-hacks/cheats/irresponsible drivers etc ...

This looks like a good, active community and i'd like to join in.

I tried iRacing for a while but it can get a bit costly. I'm enjoying GTR2 - don't know if/how it differs from GTR Evo ?

What's the most popular sim here, i want to race regularly ?

Any advice greatly appreciated,

Cheers.

Hi, welcome onboard.  Smiley Most popular sims used on here are:-

GTR2 - for GT racing in various guises/classes. Bit long in the tooth now but still moderately popular.

Race/GTREvo -  the successor to GTR2, improved gfx, sounds and feel imo. All sorts of classes available from touring cars, to single seaters to GT's. Interest stirring here bit by bit and some good new content being released for it.

iRacing - you know already, many love it, many just dont see what the fuss is all about, and its pricey (relatively speaking).

GTLegends - been around on here since the ark and still popular, vintage racing classes from 1960's on.

Power & glory - uses GTR2 then with the P&G modpack to create a very good classics racing sim, also popular on here.

Lol!

Hi and welcome along DeepCut.

The past and future races planned currently are shown at the top right of the page. Clicking on them will take you to the race announcement where hopefully any tracks and car mods should be highlighted.

iR tends to race tuesdays and sundays, GTR2 on sundays and posiibly tuesdays in the future, GTL and PnG alternate on thursdays

Hope you can join us for some GTR2 action on sunday nights

Hi DC

If you want to know more about driving in the most popular Sim racing series here ask me!

(Actually the others are pretty well subscribed to as well).

Our standard menu features GPL, GTL, GTR2, iRacing (if you have more money than sense  Wink) and the Power and Glory mod for GTR2. We also have the specials blackboard which usually features a new mod or bolt on to an existing package like the forthcoming (possibly) retro F1 series for Race 07.

Some drivers race in everything they can, others will only be found in certain leagues. Best just have a nose around and if you need to ask a question or two, do so. There are no ego's here, just a load of fellow Sim racing junkies who will be only to happy to help a newbie.

Cheers

Tony

The only UK based GTL community which races every Monday night. We are always looking for new drivers of all ages and abilities. GTL here since 2006.

And any day now, but don't hold your breath, PnGv3 should appear which should ensure that it is the most popular sim if only for a brief period whilst people decide if they like it.

Wot about Grand Prix Legends??  Shocked  now we have the 67 GT's to play with as well.

In fact deepcut, I think you should try all of the above and enter every race for the next 6 months, that way you will be able to make an informed choice...........simples Grin

If you've already got GTR2... that sounds like a good starting place with us Grin

For an investment of £3 you can pick up a new copy of GT Legends, which is probably the easiest/most fun SIM we use. BIG recommendation.

Once you've got your copy of GTL, download P&G 2.1 (Power & Glory), for free! Shocked It kind of takes the best of GTL & GTR2 & puts them together.

So there you have it, £3 to spend to join us in 3 SIMS. Nice. Smiley
