Next time I will speak directly with Marco to suggest him a car choice, but it's difficult for me contacting him during the week in TS or via pm. I'll do what is possible for me
About the race, I can only say that was impossible to follow the pace of the first 2 guys in front with the Coloni. I spent all the first part of my race in the attempt to keep in sight Goldtop's exhaust, and I managed to do it quite easily, cause GT was not forcing at all with the full tank (he just started to make the accountant
). The matter was the 2 drivers in front were flying.
When GT went to the pit and changed the tyres, I was thinking about a no pit strategy, but when I realised that my tyres were totally burned, I did a mistake, and I broke my front wing just 50 meters after the pit entrance... :'( :'( :'(
In that moment, I've lost quite all the desire of racing.... But I tried to go on. I pitted, changing tyres and front wing, and I started to pull as a desperate with the new tyres. I was gaining nearly 1 sec per lap to GT, and even if I was 30 seconds behind him, it was the target to give a sense to my race. I was a lot faster even than Navin (probably he didn't pitted yet?), and I catched him after the pit unlapping by him.
My come back was going pretty good, til my car decided to spin at the exit of the Loews... sadness...
I gained again the pit lane, I repaired again the front wing (I avoided to replace the suspention) and I went back on the track...
With no target except the checkered flag, I was trying to go slowly, but I took the barrier with only 3 laps to go at the chicane after the Tunnel, one tyres flew away, and in the attempt to spin out my engine switched off. Race OVER.
I guess that in Mexico City the Coloni will have even less chances to compete with the long straights... so I will wait some laptime reference by Goldtop, and I will decide if it's the case to try a Ligier, or something a bit more competitive, and a bit less frustrating to drive...
Cu for the next
