Might join for this one just for a change, although last time I tried RACE 07 I couldn't connect to any games so fingers crossed.

Froze on the grid for both race starts. Stuck out race 1 and pulled back a couple of places by the end but couldn't face another lonely race after it happened again. Graphics were dodgy all the way through....guess my rig just doesn't like Race07  Sad

Good fun. Was slower than some, but close enough to race people, or at least get in their way some....
I can't get the hang of the brakes in race7 was same in the caterhams, i lock the fronts all the time
have bias at 53 front and still they lock into almost every corner, then when they grip the car
is all over the road.

After I got my controls setup ok I set about remembering how to play this game and more specifically these silly touring cars. They really do have a wierd feel to them, but they are actually quite a lot of fun to wrestle around in a race with people to battle against (not so much on your own). I've been tempted to buy the WTCC 2010 addon, but only if there was somewhere to race them.

Once I'd learnt how to drive badly again in order to drive this game engine I seemed reasonably competitive. To my shock I got 2nd in race one and then starting near the back of race 2 I got the perfect start and zoomed past nearly all the field to be 3rd or something going into T2. After a battle with RR and TT and JR (who I'm sure was playing with me!) I once again nabbed 2nd in race two.

Not sure I'll be back next week as I sort of said I would do MX-5 racing in iRacing on Tuesdays, but we'll see.

I don't remember the graphics being THAT dated either. It seems like RACE 07 is a lot worse looking than how I remember GTR2 to be. There was little smoke effects, the buildings had next to no detail on them and so on, the only detailed things were the cars and that's with the in-game graphics setting up at maximum.

Well done JR on the two wins, not unexpected LOL. Nice to see some old faces again.

Two very interesting races. It had been 6 months since my last race in these cars, so it was getting used to racing others again.
Good battles with Shark and Roadrunner Smiley.
