I was going to try to sort out car and track last night but in the event I was too knackered after preparing for a long weekend, daughter's 50th Birthday; also bringing visitor back with us.

Sorry I couldn't join you last night but I seem to have caught this work bug from Mike! Sad

Shame as the E-Type is one of my favourite cars.  Don't know about the track as I've not seen it but couldn't our "fun" races be confined to places that we already know?

Congrats to John and Stig on their good Soggy results.

This was a Championship event

Good grief! So it was.

Well then, even more thanks to John and Stig for keeping the soggy flag flying.

EDIT   And can you please tell us what cars are to be used at the next round.  Roll Eyes

In fact, if you could tell us what all of them are I could make a judgement on if I want to take part!  Grin

Smiley If anyones interested Simjunkies are running a Le Mans 24 race P&G and Rfactor. I was wondering if we could run a Simracing UK team in the is event. I will be entering P&G Grid 3 probably either the GT40 or the Vette. I believe Ade has all ready entered.

First race in this totally unknown circuit for me, and the 0 practice laps strategy, surely doesn't helped me.
It was surely not my favourite track with all these slow corners, but at least it was easier to learn it. In any case, the 2 possible choices for this race were not in the list of my favourite cars, but I tried to race at my best as ever. Lap after lap, I was getting better on laptimes, and my start position was good compared to my 15 mins training for this race, so at least was going to be a nice mid pack challenge.
At the start I gained a couple of positions, while at the third corner someone did a "kamikaze" attack, and the pack was immediately divided in 2 groups.
The guys in front were flying and I wasn't able at all to keep their pace, even if after some laps I was getting near Miguel laptimes. When Miguel went a bit wide at the first corner, I passed him, but I did not try to resist so much in my defense, and he easily passed me again a corner later.
Lost the contact with Miguel, I was only trying to see the checkered flag, cause I forgot to change my "white spot" before the start, and the last 10 laps were a real disaster for me.
Geoffers replaced the gap, and I tried to resist him successfully for some laps. Then he made a mistake, giving me a break. My mobile rang just in the "right" moment, and I had even the time to answer to my friend saying him: "I will recall you in 5 mins"  Grin Grin. Back to the race Geoffers was again in my mirrors, and 1 or 2 laps before the end I went too wide at the first corner, and even Matt passed me. Finally the race was over!!! I hope to be more trained for the next one

Grats to the podium and to all the participants. Thanks to Geoffers for the nice and correct duel... til it lasted Smiley

Good fun last night at quite a challenging track. Had some setup help from Clive in his absence that shaved a few more tenths off and just scraped into the 38's in qually.

Got a good getaway off the line and held onto first place going into T1, but from the sounds of it I nearly caused a pileup with my over-cautious braking  Shocked. So much so in fact that Ade was able to drive clean round the outside of me and into P1! Luckily for me he got a bit out of shape at the left-hand kink and I was able to get up the inside going into the hairpin to regain the lead.

After that the pressure was on from Ade in the heavier Jag for the next few laps until FMG caught back up and distracted him and I was able to make good my escape, keeping it tidy for the rest of the race. Impeccable behaivour from those that were lapped, as usual  thumbup1. Grats to Ade & FMG for the podium.

Unofficial LapChart

Again a surprising close race. Really close fighting with Legzy and Henri. Thanks guys.
Surprised because learning the track was a frustrating experience, mainly going into the corners too fast.
This technical stuff is hard but a good learning experience.

Big apologies to Ade for the bad rejoin. The last laps my brain gave up and the errors were numerous...  Sad

Congrats to the podium.
