2:59 John?!!...wow, whats your secret?  Wink

6 arms & 3 legs!!!! Grin

Hehe, nah. I just know the track pretty well and really like the RSR  Smiley

This P&G RSR drives like a pig compared to the real thing.

I'd love to try one in real life...but alas that's not going to happen any time soon. I envy you  Sad

Finally I came back to race, and it was a really interesting race for me!

First time here in the old interlagos, so I spent all the practice session trying to remember the track... with not much success indeed.

4th place in qualif was not a bad result, but the target was not to lose the contact by ade and Clive during the first laps... At the start, I immediately gained the position on Clive, but he didn't give up at all, and we went side by side for the first 4 or 5 corners withouth any contact.. It was amazing  Shocked
I understood that Clive was a bit faster during the first laps, so I hooked my Pork at his exhaust, trying to disturb him a bit, but he was simply perfect during the first laps. The battle was really clean and we changed our position for at least 4-5 times, with some good line crossing. After 6 or 7 laps I guess he made a mistake, so our battle has ended, and I tried to hang ade's pork without success. Sometimes I was slightly faster on my laptimes, but the pace wasn't good, so I was at 6-7 seconds by him for the rest of the race.

At the last lap ade made a mistake, and I recovered all the gap, but it was too late to try an attack, and we finished our race with a 0.5 second gap...

However it was a month since my last race, and I was pretty happy for the great fun in the duel with Clive... well done mate!
Grats to John and ade! Cu for the next Smiley

That race was far from tedious!

Congrats to John, Ade and Manteos and thanks to Manteos for a great battle.

And many thanks to John for his contribution to the SBRC points tally and also for his setup for the RSR.  Chasing John’s TT lap I had managed to do a respectable 3:01.something but in practice I could never find an empty piece of track and qually was frustrating as well.  In the race I was too busy fighting with Manteos to ever find my line.

At the start I was off the line well but since I didn’t want to dispute the first corner with our star man I chose to go wide, and that let Manteos through for the first pass.

As he has said, we swapped places a few times without hitting each other which is always rewarding.  I think that we each recognised when we had lost a corner and that our relative pace was so close that there was a good chance of another go to redress the balance.

At about lap six I made my first error which opened up a gap but I was getting my head down after that and beginning to close when I suffered brain fade at T3 on lap ten and only changed down once.  Thankfully the catch fence was only the pretend sort.

With only three laps to go I wasn’t able to close again, although I did take a few seconds off of him.  A shame about lap ten, otherwise I would have finished very close to the Manteos/Ade battle for third.

It was a challenging car and track combination and I enjoyed it.  Shame the entry was low.

Guess that the roller skate race at Cadwell will be more popular.
