I think Bill & Tony were referring to other races needing a softer option, not this one mate. There are fees cars easier to drive than the F275 Happy days.

Sorry if I wound you up phspok, it was intended as a general PnG comment Have setups for both cars and have actually got sightly modified default setup for Special which is the best of the lot.

Ditto here also.
IMO a choice would be great when the only car available is one that takes a) loads of praccy and setup knowledge, b) more than average skill to drive around a circuit quickly. Those circumstances, I think, can be a turnoff to a few potential attendees. So Bill and I were saying that in those circumstances, another car could be provided. Not necessarily to match the performance of the first choice but something that the more "corner challenged" driver could take and still enjoy the same circuit/evening as the rest.

Fair enough. Not wound up, just keen to understand what works for others. I remember the first race I ever did with UKGTL, was an RSR spec race at, I think, Brands.. maybe Ginsters was running it then? or maybe Psuedo? not sure. Is very hard to find a match for the RSR, other cars are either way too fast or way too slow. Did I ever mention I'm not a fan of sim porkas? not sure I ever did Was fun all the same, had some setup help from Phil Gil though I think I made a greyling of the race.

One of the Headline series planned for UKGTL Season 12 will be doing just that. (possibly )

Anyway that wasn't what I came here to say, got sidetracked. I've had hardly any practise here and it looks like a tough track to learn too I was going to get on early tonight and try to get the hang of it. However I've just found that my number plate is hanging of the front of my car so it's off the Halfords after work tonight to get that put right. This will eat into my praccy time. Long story short, Don't bank on me turning left at right handers and vice versa.

Yep I still go to the wrong side of the road approaching some turns, and I ran here in the F1 '88 event. Do a quick AI race and follow them for a few laps, can't not turn up! that would be jolly bad form Don;t understand why the L72 keeps being selectable even though I have dissallowed it on the server?

Seems strange wrestling these cars around here after flying round in the F1 cars. The fezza is bad enough, but the vette just seems to want to understeer into the gravel on every corner. I'll be getting some practise in later but I expect to be well off the pace for this.

Here are some of my close encounters Grid 3 Race 1, 25th June 2011 Simjunkies Le Mans 24 Hour. I finished P2 in this race and P5 Overall the 1.45am Sunday in the dark was particularly grueling but lots of atmosphere. We must get a full team next year for this event. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZW9_oGlEy0

Curious. how is it busted? I snapped the steering wheel itself on my G25 being rough with it But I glued it back together with araldite and big long nails as reinforcements inside the tubes.

Lost force feedback and steering input so it looks like the sensor is goosed, I took it to bits and the motor with the sensor on it is a bit stiff and the main bearing housing is all cracked.

Once again too late back at home - only 3 laps of practice during the whole week.
Yesterday problems to log on - but fortunately I was able to solve it.
So this one without me.
Have fun guys - see you next time.

Another missed race! PC froze during qually (hope you missed my car Legzy!), had to reboot, then couldn't get on the net, had to reboot again, eventually got sorted but too late to make the race. Had nothing but problems since I came back from holiday, I think the PC got lonely & is sulking!

I was absolute rubbish, could hardly go around a single corner without going off and each time got a fishtail into the opposite barrier or backwards into the nearest barrier. So many bits were flying off decided to call it a day as the handling got worse with each off.
PS My Win 7 updates are messing my computer - each time I get an update, one won't install and is still there everytime I switch off.
