Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Can you enable start countdown like the one in GTL? I usually watch the lights and then get overwhelmed at the start (which could even be considered dangerous for those starting behind me).

If you have the time it is usually worth doing an AI race as part of your race preparations, just to see what the lights are going to do.

Sadly I hardly ever get the time.

Thoroughly enjoyed this in the GTR2 F1'88 race the other week, so have high hopes for this one too

Yeah ... nice track indeed. Personally I like the fact, that it's a very 'forgiving' track, in the sense that leaving the tarmac doesn't automaticly imply hitting someting very hard   

Enzo was a pupil at Alfa Romeo before he started producing cars for himself. He must have picked up something, so Ferrai is bound to be my choice........... when the real thing is not available

should be able to make this, good to see a euro gt car to race with at last! Been putting off with revent events trying to lumber a monster around tight turns. Though still wish we were using more of a car spread in events than 1 or 2 cars.

I've raced with a number of different leagues in PnG and I am yet to find a group of drivers who are skilled enough to cope with a wide spread of cars without clattering into each other!

This combination will provide enough mid-corner collisions when the Ferrari drivers expect to follow the Vette into a corner, half way up its tail pipes, and will then be full of apologies when they knock the poor bugger off at mid-corner.

ever the optimist Clive !  ...your a glass half empty person aren't you    Ive enjoyed plenty of races in GTL & P&G with a varied car range and no problems. All races from this vintage era ran with varied cars.

I enjoy PnG.  When it is good it is very, very good.  But when it is bad it is horrid!

The poor field of view that we have makes racing between cars of mixed performance very difficult.

If one looks at the longevity of GPL I think that you have to put most of its success down to the fact that it only seeks to race cars of similar performance and this results in very good on-line racing.  With all the developments, addons and sexy bits, one of the best fun races is still to run a 67 Cooper Spec Race at Monza 67 in GPL.  The graphics are appalling compared to PnG but the racing is still as good as anything you can get.

Because the GPL car performances are all close there is a well developed code of practice to promote good racing but in PnG, when the point of "turn in/commitment" on a corner can vary by say 10m between cars, this becomes difficult to apply.  In fact, I haven't even seen anyone try.

Ah well, fingers crossed.

I might be safe anyway because the Ferrari looks quicker and easier to drive than the Vette, so perhaps we will all be in the Ferrari.  But the Vette will own the straights.

oh i agree that huge variances can cause problems but still dont see why we dont run more 'class' races, ie GT over 2L class etc so that there is a nice mix of cars that race well together on track, as opposed to just 1 or 2 cars to choose.

I would certainly appreciate a "softer" option in some races. Maybe one class for the experts and another for the more "casual" driver?

Yes, good idea - particularly us Horlicks drinkers.

(As in not faster, but easier to drive)

Tony knows better than most how very difficult it is to match cars at any given track.
You can spend many hours, and I mean "hours" testing, or you can throw a bunch of
cars at it and let people work it out. The second option has historically produced
the most complaints about not enough time to test the track and the cars.

You can't please all the people all the time, so there is no point trying, we can
only do our best to find something that will give a decent race for most if not all.
For me the track is a cracker, we used it recently in the F1 '88 series so many will
know it already. The cars are a good choice. I will put a link up to a couple of
relatively stable setups that might make things more enjoyable.
