All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (16 laps = ~40mins)

Track: Bathurst '67 Download this

Cars allowed: Alfa Romeo GTA, Ford Mustang, Lotus Cortina

This race will use the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0.

Time of Day Setting: 10:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk TMC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page

Special Notes: None

It's going to take a braver man than me to bet against the Mustang here! Shocked

Hopefully my 2:32.1 will be good enough to keep me in the thick of things?

p.s. This track rocks with the Mustang too Cool

The Mustang was certainly faster than the other two when I tested it out. But I like the Alfa so I'll probably take that.

Mustang was my first choice but after racing the big beasts here I tried the Alfa which I can drive all the way up and across the top of the mountain.  I was about 1 sec faster after a handful of laps and knocked another sec or so off.  Also found the two corners each end of the start and finish straight, although look very similar are considerable different to drive through. I spend too much time with the Mustang in trying to keep it pointing in the right direction instead of laying the power down.  Roll Eyes

Feel more confident with the Alfa.  Grin

My race started with a huge tap suffered at first corner......... 8 seconds lost by ade.... race practically over considering the ade's hammer pace.
After this "unlucky" episode I was on ade's laptimes during the first 5-6 laps, pushing a lot to try to gain some tenths, but my gap was stucked at 8 seconds. Probably without the tap I would have had some fun against ade, but pushing, pushing and pushing again without enemies in sight it's not the race for me, and I finished in the precipice.

I hope to have some chance to fight vs ade the next race even if nobody will convince me that GTL is better than P&G... Obviously it's only a matter of taste Wink
The most important things are fun and close fights, and GTL seems to offer both these things Smiley

Lost my FFB whilst waiting on the grid. Result - steering was sloppier than a whatsnames thingy. Hope none of my many excursions caused anyone else any bother. Ho hum.

Really sorry for the nudge in T1 Matteo, It was very poor driving on my part.
Good race apart from that incident, couldn't avoid Legzy when he was over the corkscrew
and was facing the wrong way, nor did Phil by the look of it, lost more time to
Ade, but he was on a different planet pulling out 1 or 2 secs per lap!
