All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (18 laps = ~40mins)

Track: Watkins Glen Download this

Cars allowed: Alfa Romeo GTA, Ford Mustang, Lotus Cortina

This race will use the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0.

Time of Day Setting: 10:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk TMC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page

Special Notes: None

I guess this race is going ahead as the Goodwood P&G race is now postponed.

Will join late tomorrow due to a visitor. Hope to see still some minutes of qualification.

Already practiced today. Mustang seems to be the fastest car for me (2:17.6), Tina (2:18.6) and
GTA (2:19.7 - could not solve braking problems). Curious what times you guys reach.

CU tomorrow

Will make this one for sure Smiley. A quick run shows the Mustang at 2:13.8. Alfa at 2:13.9 and there is more to be had for sure. Could be very interesting Cool.

I noticed I had 3 different Watkins Glen in my setup folders. One is obviously the 1967 version but the others are called "Watkins" and "Watkinsglen" so you just may be right about being a different version Undecided.

Hmm...I checked my bude install and it is the same track  Huh I even used the exact same setup and couldn't get within 3 seconds of my bude time  Huh I can only summise that they use different car specs or as I suspected, maybe I am just getting slower  laugh

As expected the results files and replay are all rubbished due to the problems we were all experiencing.

So if everyone can tell me in what positions they finished I'll produce the results, hopefully.

Yes Tony, that was scary...everything went wrong  Shocked

Great Team GTLDK result: 1-2-3...I won, but I left NRJ run first over the line, followed by KS (almost true  Cheesy )
WG Result: NRJ - PB - GT - KS big Grats to us  laugh...I don't think there was more on the server when the race was over.  Huh

All today's shock:
1. Had not run Alfa in WG before = no setups (copied a Anderstorp without changes other than fuel (20laps))
2. My buttons on the steering wheel begins to tease, when downshifting from 5th to 1st & wheels blocks.
3. When qual starts disappearing my internet connection...many times.
4. Coming in last seconds on server before race start & has pole Huh I was dizzy all the problems, but pole...I understood nothing.

Race:
Lest any doubt about my position on the line, I let everyone pass.  angel
I feared a little Mustang on this track, but I'm glad I held on to Alfa...it was the right choice, shame it was not several who chose it  Wink
@NRJ: Incredibly exciting Team race, entertainment in high-class...& Thank you for waiting (I got a StopNgo on lap 16)

I was lucky, all problems disappeared in the race....too bad for those who got it in the race  Sad

A very entertaining race!! Too bad for all the scoring issues Huh Sorry Tony for the busy work you must do now to fix. At least not too many entrees to correct Wink. What a fun battle Pelle and myself had Grin. It seemed that I was better early in the run but then Pelle was definitely faster in the last half of the run Shocked. Lots of cooperation to be able to race so close Wink Good stuff!!! Glad to have time for some more GTL!!! Cheers Grin

Only know for sure that I ended up in fourth and last place.
Haven't seen other drivers except Tony during the whole race  Sad.

What happened to you Tony?
Was hoping for a longer battle - so I had a lonesome race after you left the game.

But was fun to drive after half a bottle of white wine Cheesy Smiley Grin  for me who normally do not drink alcool.
Could improve my best lap more than 1 second.

I lost my connection around about lap 11-12? Shame as the battles with Eifel could have gone on and on.

I'll try to sort the results tonight. Let's hope the server gremlins stay away from now on. I must admit I've never ever seen the times not change driver positions before and my xd during the race was completely screwed.
