All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (20 laps = ~40mins)

Track: Montreal Download this

Cars allowed: Alfa Romeo GTA, Ford Mustang, Lotus Cortina

This race will use the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0.

Time of Day Setting: 10:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk WPC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page

Special Notes: None

Not tried it yet, in fact I'm not sure I remember ever racing here before. Instinct is telling me that it's a Mustang track.

I've no idea. I don't do many North American tracks in general. I'm about to try a GTR2 Suzuki Swift race there though and try it out.

Damn. I just realised now I found a place where I actually like racing, I may not be able to! Kids are out of school 3:10, race is at 3:40 my time and this year one is going to a different school so I HAVE to get the littler two each day. BUGGER! Worse part is, another 10 minutes or so would be doable. lol.

Back off travels, so will race here. What sort of times are folks getting with Mustang?  After about an hour of learn track and playing around with setup I'm in the 2:10 bracket - hope to get down a bit more when I learn which corners I can go over kerbs without getting warnings.  Roll Eyes

I think you should expect to see times around the 2 minutes clean...regardless of car brand on this course. Mustang unfortunately have a tire wear problem, I think...as I was with Ferrari 512S very quickly  Shocked
...& Happy Birthday Bill  Wink

After 20 mins driving, the Alfa is a couple of secs faster than the Mustang - thanks Pelle_B.  thumbup1 Due to limited time to practice before race was just going with Mustang.   Roll Eyes

Alfa is perhaps the best choice here, the Mustang is fun & a little faster on the straight...but if it is to run fun & fast cornering, it costs tires  Sad
I have chosen Alfa for today's race (mostly to relax a bit after the experience with the Ferrari 512S) but are still not happy...is not yet under 2min  Undecided

After testing each car I still cannot decide which car to take. All within 4 tenths of a second.

Myself, I'm a Cortina fan, almost every time. haha. Since I can't make the race, I think I'll fire up GTL today and do some AI races here. And good luck Gentlemen, have fun!!
