I am going for full historical inaccuracy for this fun race with 2003+ GT cars at the 94 version of Imola. Wink

Nice on H@L, though i'll probably hate all the GT1's now as being undriveable.

Taken a bit of time to get used to this track, its too easy to get caught out typically on the kurbs which in some places are massive. Tried a few cars out last night and as usual have done a 1.40.0 to .5 in all of them. Corvette default seems to work everywhere, Aston seems to struggle for traction on the rear and no grip on the fronts. Managed to get the Saleen working well so will take that i think.

I will try to be in time for this race tomorrow.
After 15 laps I'm in the mid-low 38 during the first laps, and than I improve a bit lap after lap into the mid/high 1.37 with the Lambo.

Cu tomorrow... maybe Smiley

Changed the race to 24 laps rather than 40 mins as the race would end early otherwise.

First post updated.

Nice race.

I had a good chase with Gazzer and nsfast and almost caught Gazza a few laps from the end. I got side by side with him at the end of the big straight and tried to take him on the inside but, I went on the grass and straight across the track as it turned left. Oops, sorry Gazza. Lucky you slowed a bit. Undecided

Well done nsfast and Gazza. Smiley

Saw it was GT1's here tonight and got a bit nostalgic and thought i'd have a little run out  Cool

Went on the server at about 7.30pm for first look at the older version of the track. Tried a few cars out with my old (newer) version of imola setups and felt quite good. I havnt driven GTR2 for a looong time but the feeling came back pretty quick.

Decided i would take the 550 and it seemed i was on the pace.  Traded pole times with nfast until the last few minutes when i grabbed it but it was a bit of a false one as i went off track and gained a bit  Huh

Guessed the fuel as H@l suggested it would be about 80 litres which wasn't far off (could of gone a bit less) Start was ok but made a little mistake into first chicane which let nfast past, from then on it was chasing him for the rest of the race, catching him then making mistakes and falling back and so on. Everytime i caught up i would make an error  Roll Eyes

Then when lapping Rob he got on the grass on the outside of turn 2 and i couldn't see him and i knew he would fly across the track at some point and luckily i just missed him. That let H@l catch me and almost the same thing happened  Shocked

That let nfast off the hook and i settled for 2nd. Well done Nfast and H@l

Couldn't get all the speed out of F550 - considering the laptimes of Gazza and H@l, though I was trying. Undecided Was sorry I didn't take the Marcos as it's a very handy excuse for being slow. Grin

Tough track with all the high kerbs, can't say I really like it. Maybe also 'cause I was alone most of the race. Even so it was good to use proper GT cars again, I enjoy them more than GT500 or F1 mods. dots
