Sorry GT, These arent for me im afraid. Please pass my Ligier onto a deserving driver.
Stuck with it throughout all the sessions and was even relatively competitive at various stages, but they are just too much hard work for my liking. For some reason in the race my back end kept switching around on me under braking at the slow left corner in the stadium arena. Probably a bias issue but hadnt done it in any of the long praccy and qually. Infuriating when it happens 3 times in a row after controlling it well the rest of the lap so i retired, as my hearts just not in this series, i prefer my GT racing.
The cars look good and sound great though and looks like good attendances for once. Good luck.

Oh dear...that was a disaster! I was comfortable in qualifying and looking forward to the race. I moved up to 2nd on the first lap and thought I might have a chance at a podium this time out.... Well, that was until my ageing computer decided to have an massive FPS drop in the stadium, which caused my first spin, demoting me to last. That seemed to be an omen for things to come. While fighting my way up the field I manage 2 lazy spins into the hairpin. My down-shifting into first gear kept causing the rears to lock on entry to the turn, yet I never had this problem in qualifying . That dropped me down the field again, but I finally got my act together and charged through the field, no doubt helped by me deciding to take the hairpin in 2nd gear from now on . Sadly at about half distance, I was catching Blunder in the stadium and I guess he decided to just let me through and lifted on the straight. I simply wasn't expecting that and ploughed straight into the back of him, ending my race and severely affecting his. I'm deeply sorry Blunder, after what had been an already ragged race from me. I wouldn't be surprised if I get a warning because of that. I hope you managed to carry on after that, despite my best efforts to kill us both! Congrats to all the finishers.

No worries Sam, you were catching me sooo fast and I had no idea what position you were in so eased off slightly to let you past but obviously caught you out! Oh, well!

I was having a really good time, taking it easy, trying to be consistent. I had a good battle with Manteos for 9th. Then I got too close to phspok I think going into the ostkurve, braked too late and touched him as he turned in. Sorry Then I went to do a drive through and ended up doing a very long pit stop. So a lonely end to the race Les

Good fun race. despite incidents. Followed Laz for some laps, then I think I fell off somewhere and chased a few then lost my front when someone braked 100 yds later than I was doing, and decided I would lose more time in the pits than crawling through the twisties. man but it flew on the straights though! 200+ mph. had Laz chasing but held him off until I went wobbly braking as late as I dared, then caught and half passed round the outside into the stadium which was a brave if silly move with no front wing.... he repassed and I got on the kerb then spun letting TT through for the place. Great fun all the same, I think the back end leaping out (something the arrows excels at...) is part 1st gear engine braking, and front disks overheating and going off just as you start to turn. Happens to me a lot.

WOW!!
That was hard, hard work. didn't get from work until about a min before Qually started, so no warmup praccy. Managed a very respectable qually time for 2nd, but could not touch Jubei.
Gave a place away in the early put of the race to a very fast Sam Blood (What was your top end down the straights lol?) and thought here we go a steady decent down the field, but no, miracles of miracles I actually managed to string a series of error free laps together and was staying in touch with Jubei throughout. Spanner kept me very honest with constant pressure from behind. Anyway, apart from a slight run wide in the stadium in final laps a very consistent drive for me and most enjoyable, thank you all

Begin rant!! ...can everyone please please please read the rules about our starting procedures. I had 2-3 occasions where I nearly rear ended the car in the front because the pace wasn't at a constant speed. The pit limiter should also be used by the leading car as it exits the last corner onto the main straight. Thank You. Just in case people aren't sure where to look for the rules https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3349.msg54455#msg54455A very tough race. Extremely happy to bring the car home in 5th place. All I need to do now is to stop sweating during the race....I keep losing grip on the wheel Well done everyone I had battles with along the way, and all that finished.

I'm thinking it was more then bad luck. More like dumb luck on my part. I realized right before the start that I never tried the pitlane so I went into the pits and right at the speed limiter point is when I CTD. This was my exact problem I had at Brno's pre season race. So I'm thinking that the advanced garage is at fault because I did have the advanced garage for my old massive add-on GTR2 install. I'm just glad it doesn't sound like anyone else had this problem. So if you are planning on running the advanced garage please beware of this and practice before the race start to make sure all is OK. Good thing is other than this race I don't think at the other tracks I will need the taller gearing that advance garage provides. Cheers

Wasn't that knackered from my beginning GTR(1) racing days, a lot more concentration is needed here. On the other hand this makes opportunities and I gave and exploited some in the race. First I must thank Navin for a setup. It was revolutionary enough to make me think and get out of the safe environment of high(er) wing settings. I must admit I wasn't bold enough to go with the original wings in the race setup, I upped it a click or two to make the car more stable - it was faster for me 'cause of the less wobbly corner exits. Btw, replacing original "UI Data" folder eliminates advanced garage? Race was risky, especially the start where I lost some positions 'cause of the way of the start. Will also add: rules are as they are to make things better basing on Championship experience in the past. I don't remember any first corner pileups since we applied a pit limiter starts. In the race I had bad times and good times. The good times came in the last part of the race which is good. I think more laps / experience here will bring more competitive racing through the field and even things out a bit. Looking forward to it.

I think more laps / experience here will bring more competitive racing through the field and even things out a bit. Looking forward to it. I agree TT (that's twice this month I think ) Also remember that Hockenheim was an extreme track in this series and one that the more grunty cars or drivers that could carry extreme wing settings were bound to dominate. Next round is Hungaroring which is right at the opposite end of the spectrum. It will be interesting to see how the balance works here. And don't forget the ballast effect
