you didnt miss much bernie.... the field spread out and it just became a case of trundle around on your own for 14 laps.... I pulled over and retired with 5 to go just through sheer boredom!

Had a great game of mahjong instead  Grin

Not much of a tale to tell here.  Started from the back, soon found myself in 6th, and there remained for the remainder.  only excitement came on lap 3, where I decided to test the banking at la Carriere - too bumpy. Blito joined me on my return for consultation, and we both continued somewhat the wiser - no harm done.  And that's about it.  I'd been wishing for a quieter race, so perhaps a noisier one next. I struggled in quali to get the Honda to turn in smoothly, but eventually posted a half decent lap to line up behind the Fezzas.

I put in what was indicated as enough fuel for 17 laps to allow for that thirsty engine and prepared for battle.

Raoni bogged down on the grid and I found myself behind 2 fezzas for the first lap and comfortably within the slipstream. I picked up a further place and was behind Goran as we approached La Source. I half expected him to brake early as he had been driving very carefully through most of the bends, but I was still caught out and locked everything as I tapped into Goran's rear. Fortunately he recovered and continued as I squirmed across the grass and afew cars passed me.
A half lap to decide if things were damaged and I decided that whatever was bent was not too bad, so I hunted down Hristo in his Macca.

Although faster on the straights, and definitely at an advantage when I had the tow, I was struggling to get the Honda to turn in at high speed. I think I passed Hristo 3 times only to run wide as the front end just washed out as I put the power down. He must have been chuckling to himself as I struggled to keep my wayward Waza out of his way.
The inevitable happened as Goran recovered from an earlier "off" and closed up on us and I had a rather big spin allowing him to pass and chase after Hristo Ronnie was a safe distance behind with about 5 laps to go so i settled into a steady pace to at least finish the race.
Last lap and I suddenly come across Hristo recovering from a spin as I sweep past and snatch his 3rd place.

After the race i discover why the Honda was behaving like a barge... I still have 12 galls of fuel!!!! The setup shows fuel for 17 laps @ 36 galls? and I finish the race with 33% of that left in the tank??!!  I have no idea why the 66 Honda has become so eco-friendly??? Huh
