The Minardi is certainly quick here (makes a change ), but the tyre wear is huge. Looks like I will need to do 3 stops in the race if I want to be quick on every lap.

Yes tyre wear is unusually high here (a bit like it was in RL this weekend). I reckon I can probably get away with a one stop if I drive very smoothly and go for a conservative setup. This will mean that my times will be around 1:28/1:29 and fall off by a couple of seconds later in my stints. My absolute best time so far with race fuel is a 1:27.3 so I don't think I'll be winning any prizes this week. For anyone who feels they might be struggling with pace, I would still encourage them to race as I am positive they will have others to race with (which is what it's all about). Being such a technical track, I'm sure there will also be plenty of opportunities as drivers fall off. It will be a long race this evening and I hope my pc and myself are up to it

Not tried this one yet. what is a ball park wing setting? I tend to - particularly in the wayward Arrows - have the rear higher than the front, but some guidance would save me hours of testing.

I have the higher wing possible at the front, and 2 click less on the rear. It helps me a lot to have a bit of oversteer when I accelerate out of the corners especially in the 2nd sector. However the higher wing value for Dallara is 30 (so I'm driving 30 front and 28 rear), and yesterday with the Minardi I was on 50 front - 48 rear. This is my Minardi setup if you want to give a try, apply it to the Arrows and see if it's good for you: http://www.humyo.com/FCrSYMC/DallaraF1.svm?a=9o8qeFYVWR8 However I went down to 1.26.777 as best lap, and that means that would be safer if I drive on a pace near to a mid/high 27. So my forecasts were wrong about my worries of having no drivers to fight against Cu later

My wing settings are also 30/28. I'm having big problems with my graphics card atm (another one will be with me tomorrow) but it means that I might have to miss out on this race. I'm having big flickers going to black screens in 2d so it might even be tricky setting up the server this evening. If worst comes to worst and I'm not able to do so, if someone could restart both the server and then GTR2 Manager. It's all set up so nothing else to do, but hopefully it won't come to that

I will be in the race so will do server start if required no worries. Thanks for the setup advice Matteo and GT I forgot this is like Monaco, so loadsa wing I may still end up with the rear 2 or 3 clicks higher because my fast in slow out style means I lose the rear into corners for fun in Rear engine cars.

thanks gt that did work for the tarmac only started practising today and couldn't believe my quali time for 6th... which finally came after many offs ran wide on lap 1 on T6 (?) and couldn't rejoin without wiping someone out so had to keep driving along the inside of the corner rejoining last and then on lap 2 i had an unavoidable accident with a spun car in the middle of T2... on the plus side it can only get better next race

Sorry Purdie, I think it was me that hit you. I spun and waited til I thought everyone had gone through. I was facing the wrong way and blinded by the guard rail. I was looking forward to this race, because I'll be out for the next two weeks.

Another retire for me... I was too angry after I missed the pit crew and I had to do 2 pit stop. Chasing GT after the "succesful" pit I spun at the fast chicane of the 3rd sector... race over... I think the next time I should race with no sounds in TS, cause I lose concentration with all the VDA guys saying too much nonsense However it was quite a boring race after I realized I couldn't keep Legzy's pace, but without missing the pit crew the race could have been different... as ever... we'll never know it... Sorry for a couple of slightly tap to Legzy, and for my manouvre when lapping H@l... fortunately he was able to control his car, but it was really a bad move. Sorry again guys Cu

a good race for me, only one spin, very hard to keep concentration in the last 10 laps starting to feel a bit more comfortable following people closely in these very fast and fragile F1's only cock up for me was having to make a second pitstop for fuel, i had originally planned to make 2 pit stops because of tye wear, but as i approched my first pitstop i realised everyone was doing a 1 stopper so changed my strategy to 1 stop and tried calculating the new fuel amount while driving around and got it wrong and didnt put enough in

Me too, last few nights been getting random black screens for about half a second (maybe less, seems more ) Had it happen during the race when trying to rejoin after a worn tire spin, apologies to whoever it was I nearly clipped Doesn't help that the card I'm running is only a GT240, runs with everything maxed DOWN lol, but I guess constant stress from GTR2 and Race07 have taken their toll All being well got a nice new shiny GTX 560 Ti arriving tomorrow
