Moderator's Report

Hristo takes victory after a long and rather lonely race - leaving FMG and Clutch to pounce on the remaining podium steps.

Bernie completed our list of finishers, despite LM2 having Libelled him as a DNF.

Server replay time: 0h11m45s

Natan makes a mistake exiting Bridge and Tim (FMG) gets a run approaching Hospital corner.
Tim has achieved overlap and is alongside entering Hospital but Natan turns in, and despite Tims attempt at avoidance they make contact, with both cars being spun.

Simple Side by Side contact: Penalty 1 Place
In a corner, after a legitimate overtaking attempt the cars end up side by side. One driver moves over instead of staying on their own side of the track. Contact is made. Penalty for driver that moves over.

Server replay time: 0h11m51s

Following on immediatly from the contact with Tim, Natan pulls straight back onto the track where Clive collides with him at full racing speed. Clive had no time to avoid Natan, who himself had come to rest facing towards the oncoming traffic and therefore could clearly see it was not safe to attempt to rejoin - especially right on the racing line.

Appallingly Bad Rejoin:

1. The rejoining driver was in full control and drove straight back onto the racing line without any consideration for other drivers and contact was made.

It is imperative when rejoining after a spin or contact, that a recovering driver ensures it is safe to rejoin before entering the track.
In some locations this is not an overly easy task but on a clearly sighted corner like this one - this accident simply should never have happened.
Penalty: 3 places.

UKGPL Season 21, 65 Professionals Trophy
Race 7: Bikerneiki

Welcome to round 6 in the old USSR (Well - this is 1968 Wink).
This looks set to be an intersting new challenge to us, a very pretty circuit graphically aswell as one that really seems to be a lot of fun.
Just remember: In Soviet Russia - the roads drive on you!

Race List = IGOR
Server = UKGPL_T7_2
IP address = 62.149.202.168
Race date = 26/07/2011
Time = 21:00 UK time
Track = Bikerneiki 68 - circuit of speed
Variant = 65F1
Damage Model = Pro
Qualifying time = 35 minutes
Race length = 50 minutes ( 35 laps)
Password: see above

65 Patch: The 2.02 Release of the 65mod can and should be used and can be found here (currently down - also available here )

Driver lists can be found on the Pro championship standings page
The track can be downloaded from : SRMZ
Add-on’s available at : SRMZ

Please be in IGOR UKGPL chatroom by 8:50 pm UK Time

Reserve drivers should not join the server(s) until there are only 30 minutes of qualifying left. Please restrict chat to pit messages. Moderating will be by reported incidents only, however the moderators reserve the right to review any incident with a particular emphasis on lap one. The aim is to review the race the following weekend so incident reports should be submitted within five days of the race (ie the following Friday). We're hopeful most incidents can be resolved amicably and recommend a days deep breath with a replay review before posting. A sorry in the forum won't be taken as an automatic admission of guilt by the moderators.
The race will be run on PRO Damage.

NOTE: Please ensure you join the correct server, due to the way we import if you start the race on the wrong server your result will not count.

Reserve drivers should not join the server until there are only 30 minutes of qualifying left so as to give the FULL TIME drivers chance to join, and drivers are not to go out on track until there are 30 minutes of qualifying left as this helps all drivers join the server successfully.

Please restrict chat to pit messages if necessary, and this includes the end of the race, until all running drivers have completed the necessary laps.

I have just downloaded and tried this track.

Very attractive graphics and a great circuit. But be warned !! it is so very easy to make a terminal mistake  with all those trees about.

Oh yes! and where there are not trees there are concrete walls, and really tricky braking zones.

Could be a circuit for the Porsche Cup next season? Muhahahahahah  Roll Eyes

A lot of the tracks are in SRMZ. Did you try re-registering with a different username and different email address?
For info I use this free email for my spam account; http://gmx.co.uk/

Pointless IMO for the reason that when (not if )  I forget my account details again the same problem will happen

I also will need to remember "another" email address ?

I have trouble remembering my own collar size these days.

Whenever  I try a password re set with SRMZ I spend 3 hours scrolling through there authorising code till eventually I find one I can actually read and type in correctly , the site is so messy I really dont have any enthusiasm to go there , dont really want to spend half my day trying to "log in"

Wish SRMZ would sort this out or at least answer my emails

Hi Bernie,

To not be able to log in to SRMZ is really bad because it is so much stuff you miss. Not only tracks but also updates and utilities. So this is my take on the matter.

First, once you manage to log in do not ever log out again. Just let your log in stay, there is a box you can click when you log in, (remember me). After that your browser will make sure that when you enter SRMZ you are allways logged in, at least that`s how it works for me, because if I go to SRMZ using a different browser I am not logged in so it must be the browser that keep track of my logins.

Then I allways write down all my usernames and passwords on one piece of paper I allways keep by the computer, why should you remember stuff like that, better to remember braking points and stuff that really matters.

I think it's because Bernie bought a new PC recently, so he had to start with a fresh install with no browser login informations. I tend to use the same 1-2 usernames and 2-3 passwords everywhere, just to avoid forgetting them like that.  Grin It may not be the most secure thing, but it's not like someone's going to try and mess up with my UKGPL or SRMZ account... or am I far from the truth?  Shocked

Hristo

Thanks ,though can't download yet till I get home tonight  Smiley

Goran

I have a "little red book"  with all my passwords and important stuff in it. I keep it in a very safe place , If I knew where that place was I "perhaps" could find it   Roll Eyes

As for logging on full time I believe I did that originally , since when I have had 5 PC's and 4 email address , with every change I have managed to find my way back through the SRMZ "Lost password" button , this time it doesn't want to work , I find it all a bit confusing it isn't just the new PC , I had this trouble from ages ago with my last PC .

For me I think there must be a problem with the re set password link, but to prove it perhaps one of you could test it out by reseting your own P/W ?

(hint) you can always re set to your original P/W again  Roll Eyes

Thanks again  Smiley
