Moderator's Report

What's this? No reported incidents? Huzzah!

A clean Lap 1 by all and only a couple of excursions from the track that were self inflicted.

Natan, Juha and a couple of others did a spot of grass cutting and Hristo closely examined the tyres at the hairpin, but all in all an easy mod as no incidents were worthy of penalties or warnings.

On to Spa then.

Glad to get this one out of the way as Rouen is not a favourite of mine in any car. At the start I slotted in behind Juha and Axel who then proceeded to battle it out with Raoni over the early laps. It had to happen and the three of them came together. I tried to avoid them but just clipped one of them (I thought it was you Axel, sorry) on the way through. But I had not escaped undamaged, my car now seemed underpowered (checking the mech report after the race, I can see that I had an engine problem. I soldiered on but had to let people by as they caught me. Just as the fast battling pair of Juha and Blito (great drive Jason by the way) came by my engine got decidedly sicker but I struggled on staying well out of the way of anybody. Not a vintage night for Porsche International but a pat on the back to my team mates Juha (your third looks safe to me on my replay) and Axel, this was a tough night. Grats to the top two Tristan and Arf and also Dave in fourth. Goodbye Rouen and don't come back in a hurry!

Hi guys,
not very much to say here at Rouen, it is one of the tracks I like much and most of all, I've taken the competition seriously and I've been training for at least a week and the result demonstrates I did the right.
Very tricky Nouveau Monde like always but at least this time I made only a little mistake on exit that corner past half the race loosing no more than 5 secs in the action. At half race to go I've thought to maintain the gap gained till that moment and so I've finished first winning the race.
Nice qualli time (at least for me), like I previously said, below 2:01.00 it should be a nice time and so it was. During Gresil I've caught a little TOW from Fulvio and that permitted me to go below 2:01.00 (anyway pribluda show me I just had 1st and 2nd sector times very good at that point so I was expecting a nice laptime but not...so nice) making my PB in Porsche.
I Wonder to discover I had not only the Best Qualify Time but also the Race Best Lap of both heats. I think there were no better things I could make at Rouen.
Thanks to all for the compliments you made to me on chat I have appreciated so much.
See you at Spa, and... watch your 6....I could be there....YahoooOooOoooO!!!

P.S.: Mexico anyway is going to be the best race I made untill now, stressing but exciting at the same time and most of all fought a lot!

I am reasonably happy with my race, Sergio was soo fast there was no way I was gonna trouble him, so 2nd was all I was really aiming at  Tongue.  I was slow off the line and Fulvio got past, no probs though as he is on the same team, but I managed to slip past before T2.  I was in 2 minds, mind since it was L1 and I didn't want any incidents.  Sergio was at least still in sight at this point, but as I pulled a bit of a gap on my pursuers I thought I was destined for a lonely race.  Needn't have worried though as my skill level made it inevitable that I'd have a 'moment' or 2 and at some point I stacked it into the polos at the hairpin  Shocked.  Fulvio and Natan then got past as I fumbled, looking for gears and waited for them to clear the track (thx for avoiding me guys).  I then pursued them only for Pedro to go off on the next bend.  I caught Fulvio after a couple of laps and was anxious not to get too close where I couldn't pass.  A few laps later I was close enough down the back straight to get safely by.  We then had a very clean and close battle before I could break the tow.  Great racing Fulvio.

I can safely say, the grass at Rouen, is not as slippery as you might think, after spending much of my time testing it.  I started last, and did my best to stay there, throughout the race.  There were one or two hiccups, where I accidentally passed recovering drivers, but inevitably returned to my rightful spot, by accident.

I was surprised by the pace, of the rear half of the field - had to work hard to keep up, and paid the price. Ended up, wedged in the side of a van, without which, I might've done better !  Hmm . . . with which, I might've done better. Undecided

I wonder why do I even bother... 2nd race in a row where Juha brakes too late for a hairpin and ends up in my car.
server replay dontt show anycontact made by Juha , but certainly show Hristos car behave strange .

It behaves strange because its driver sees in his mirrors Juha's hot approach and thus goes to the left to give him room to perform his inescapable off, but the line is too wide and he hits the tires. A moment later Juha's car hits that car to further embed it into the tires beyond the point of extraction.

Yes, Juha did nothing wrong and he needs no warnings, as long as Hristo throws himself off to avoid being rearended.  Wink

Only you will ever know if you hit the tyres on purpose, but in my opinion you both had seperate incidents that just ended up at the same place.

It was sarcasm, and no I did not hit the tires on purpose, but what Mike is obviously suggesting is that next time I should allow myself to be rearended so he can actually see fault in the other driver's actions... I wonder what would the verdict have been if I had braked too late and gone off like that.  Roll Eyes

Anyway, Juha, it's nothing personal against you, I know you didn't do it on purpose, but to hear Mike say no warning was necessary, especially when you nearly repeated the situation from Mexico, is a bit too much for me, lol.  Smiley
