Moderator's Report

Season 21 comes to a final end here, at Crystal Palace.
Hristo managed to storm of into the distance and score a convincing win - which also managed to secure him the championship (at last ;) )

The mid-field were having a somewhat more interesting time of it however with several scraps running through the race. Goran and Clive were so busy fighting each other for the 2nd spot that they allowed FMG to sneak past them and claim it for himself with 14 laps to go.
After the dangerous duo had dusted themselves down, they eventually reached the flag with Clive taking the bottom step and Goran in 4th not very far behind.

Clutch was the final finisher in 5th with some setup issues - but it was still enough to secure him 3rd in the overall championship standings so was worth the effort!

There were no incidents in the first lap, and no reports for the remainder of the race so easy going on the modding front this time out.

Grats to Hristo for the season win.

Although having read other posts... if Tim had made a bigger effort and taken the championship, maybe Hristo would have been forced to stay around for another season??  Shocked Grin

Always great racing with everyone in the 65's and this last race was no exception. I had a long dice with Goran trying to find a way around that fast Honda ( you really should have a meeting with HER and sign up for a proper WAZA drive Goran  Grin Wink )  which eventually gifted 2nd place to Tim when we tangled . Still need to look at replay to see what happened there.

It was almost a perfect race for me and a race I had to finish ahead of Tim by all cost, preferably near the top positions. I was surprised to take pole with such a margin, but then decided to take it easy after the start because the engine gets very stressed around here, with all those gear shifts and crests that rev it up.

As it happened so often during this season, those who stood between myself and Tim fell off for one reason or another, and he was promptly promoted to 2nd at the end, but I had everything under control. Well, almost everything, because the fuel pressure began to drop with 3 laps to go, but I only noticed it with 2 to go when it was more than half less than its optimal value. This and lapping the Evil/Goran duo prevented me from having a go of lapping Tim, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.  Roll Eyes Grin

Grats to Tim for the strong challenge he gave me, not just this season but in all previous seasons as well, and to Evil, Goran and Clutch for finishing the race.

Report published  Smiley

So, a well done to Hristo on finally claiming the Pro's title - to me for 2nd ( ninja ) - and to Clutch for a well driven 3rd  Smiley

The constructors championship saw Black Night comfortably defeating the fiendish Waza's with Mountside bringing up the rear.
A great season in terms of many of the races this time around, although a few less incidents would have been welcome from my point of view Wink

Although I'll be back in the cheap seats for S22 I'm very much looking forward to mounting a fresh assault on the Silverware next year  Grin
And as I'll probably cut back on championships next time, who knows? I might get enough practice in to reclaim the top spot  Wink
