It was almost a perfect race for me and a race I had to finish ahead of Tim by all cost, preferably near the top positions. I was surprised to take pole with such a margin, but then decided to take it easy after the start because the engine gets very stressed around here, with all those gear shifts and crests that rev it up.
As it happened so often during this season, those who stood between myself and Tim fell off for one reason or another, and he was promptly promoted to 2nd at the end, but I had everything under control. Well, almost everything, because the fuel pressure began to drop with 3 laps to go, but I only noticed it with 2 to go when it was more than half less than its optimal value. This and lapping the Evil/Goran duo prevented me from having a go of lapping Tim, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.
Grats to Tim for the strong challenge he gave me, not just this season but in all previous seasons as well, and to Evil, Goran and Clutch for finishing the race.
