Season 22 - Novices Trophy

For this season drivers will be seeded into groups and can use any chassis within their grouping rather then having to stick to a single car. Also there will no longer be full moderation of all laps. Instead the general division rules of full moderation of the lap one red zone together with reported incidents will be used.

The races will be run as follows:

Car set: 65 F1 only
Date: Every second Tuesday from 8 November 2011
Time: no later then 9:00pm UK Time (30-60 mins practice, race starts at 9:30pm)
Race Length: Long
Damage Model:  Intermediate
Server: UKGPL_3

The provisional calendar may be changed at the discretion of the Divisional Moderator. Please note that after some consideration Clermont Ferrand has been replaced by Kyalami but Nurburgring will stay on the calendar. Surfers Paradise is provisional subject to a safe online test. If it fails the online test it will be replaced by Lakeside (Lake67).

***NOTE***
As the Novices are run using a chassis allocation, please also post in this thread with your preferred chassis choice, you will then be placed in a group. Of course, that is no guarantee that you will be allocated a group that will allow that chassis. Your choice is meant as a guide for the Moderator only.

You need to vote in the poll at the top of the page R/Max as well as your post.

I'll put up a seperate thread in a day or so but I have noted your choice and I will consider it although as you were faster than me I may put you in a Cooper - actually on that basis everyone is in the Cooper or the BT7...

Which ones are puting you off out of interest - I don't want to run tracks nobody likes...

I'll give you some background and you can see what you think.

Surfer's Paradise is a newish release and was asked for - no opinion one way or the other but I think it will be busy... I am slightly worried about this one as I have seen some glitches offline so that definitely needs a test and I have a substitute in mind if it does not come off.

Cerne's Wood is just a bit of whimsy as the trees are so nicely autumny

Panchine was in the Historics last year and is a great fast sweeper

Clermont and Nurby are the long toughies and I thought long and hard about them but I do feel we ought to keep at least one of them - Clermont was part of the 65 package and we have never done Nurburgring in Novices but as the season has not yet kicked off I am open to a suggestion or two but it must keep a balance between 'known' and unknown tracks.

Want everyone to enjoy it and UKGPL is not a dictatorship so if you are unhappy, let me know. Mind you, it isn't a democracy either

So il stay in novices for now... Put me in whatever group, I'l drive braby bt211 or bt7...i love the track selection, especialy nurby.

Just vote in this thread as well and I will remove your Pro registration. Bear in mind your performance last season means you might find yourself restricted to a slower chassis group then you would in Pro's. Will leave that to the division mod.
