Great race. Couldn't really get a great lap in in qually as I couldn't tame the Lister in the damp I lost a lot in the first 2 laps ahead but gained after that. Both guys infront went off and gave me 3rd (IIRC). Had nice side by side action with TT for 3 corners . After that it started to rain harder and I went in for hard wets, which were horrible so few laps later I went in for soft wets which were still horrible. I was hoping for Busi to do another stop, but he didn't . Was sloooowly catching Simon and couldn't get past till he tried the grass his brother tried millions of times Grats Busi, solid race

No racing to speak of there. A real test of mind over matter though. Kinda fell into my lap and just ground my way to end without seeing a soul. Really not convinced the real world weather added to the racing there. I'm on my hols right now so feel free to shoot me down Cya all in a couple of weeks. Congrats to Busi and all the brave finishers there

First flying lap tried to avoid a rejoining GT1 car that was about to sideswipe me in the fast corner complex, made my own car unsettled and as i fought to control it, got a mighty thump up the jacksey by Legsy who had nowhere to go.
Sorry guys, I believe that was my fault. I attempted a stupid move on Lazlow and went straight off. Then I saw a few GT2s go off around me and realised that I was doing a bad rejoin. Sorry. I probably deserve for that incident to be reported. I definitely should have waited for the entire field to pass. It would have been much safer. Immensely hard race. Had real trouble spotting my chosen brake markers at times. I was on completely the wrong tyre for a while as well forcing me to pit a second time. I forgot to plug my desk fan in as well, totally the wrong race to do that:( Warning to GTR2 XD version 2 users.!! - I think that it gave me different tyres to the ones that I had chosen. I can not be completely 100% sure. Did anyone else have this problem? I am glad to have finished, great atmosphere in the dark and a real challenge. I loved it. Well done podiums.

I switched from hard wets to sof wets and they were exactly the same temps, so it still felt like hard wets

I cocked that right up. Great start to the race, but pitted with someone else in my garage, another lap on slicks had my splitter off, then just the wrong choice of tyres. Then finished my race with a crash in the pitlane ala Lewis Hamilton & David Coulthard. Congrats on the finishers for getting to the end of a very tough race

Well... Started on Soft Slicks and was going well before I got totally sideways and was collected by Busi. Pitted for Hard Wets when the rain became bad and then again for Soft Wets when it became worse. Spent the second half of the race splashing around on the grass trying to see where the track was. Had good pace in the dry with really stiff ARBs and should have probably softened them a bit more for the wet. Sorry to Ruskus (I think) for collecting the back of your Lister, I totally missed my braking point. Congrats to podiums and the rest of the finishers.

I selected hard wets using it and got them. Always double check the board before accepting it! Absolutely terrible race from me. I'd been disco'd twice from an iRacing event directly before so I bounced the router yet again and fully expected to get dropped at some point. Car felt okay on soft slicks during qualifying so I started on them. Were fine for the first few laps but then it started raining harder and I'd called for a stop to switch to hard wets when it stopped raining, so I cancelled that and stayed out. Then it started raining again and after a few more laps I had no tyre temperature at all and had to switch. Chose hard wets hoping for it to clear up again, and filled the tank. Came back out but it just rained harder and harder and soon I had no tyre temperature again and couldn't keep the car on the track. Stopped again for soft wets which were okay for a while but eventually as the track flooded, the 360's gentle tyre wear, normally a virtue, became a curse as once again I found myself with no tyre temperature, and this time no softer compound to go to. I must've gone off over a dozen times, mostly without hitting anything, but finally my luck ran out and I had a big off between the last two corners, and not only tagged the barrier but found myself in the pit entry. Had no choice but to drive through the pits and could only hope that the damage wasn't sufficient to need repairs. Came out and the front was definitely not good but I had nearly 20 seconds in hand over 4th in class and just about managed to crawl round the last few laps for a totally undeserved GT2 podium place. I think maybe we need to exclude the worst rain from the weather generation. When it's coming down so hard that not even soft wets work it's too much.

In the real world the Safety Car would defiantly have come out (right on the racing line and taken out the leader ) Yup, sorry mate couldn't do anything to avoid that one could only wait for you after the incident No problem, probably my fault for being so sideways.

Wasn't ready to race tonight & it showed (didn't even know it was a night race). The three CTD's in praci/qually didn't help me find my rhythm either Took me till my final lap of qually (finally with soft slicks) to get ahead of Team mate Blunder, but MJ & SBG were still comfortably ahead of the grid. Gambled on hard wets for the start. It seemed to be raining harder on the grid then it had been in qually & according to the weather forecast it was likely to be quite changeable (so it's either going to get very wet or very dry). But in the end it mattered not. Hal rejoined the track as MJ was coming past him & as MJ swerved into my path... nothing I could do. Off track & on the grass. Then as I rejoined, I think MJ lost control on the grass himself (easily done mate) & nudged me from behind & Hal may have got held up in that too Then was just missed by MJ when I ran wide & he tried to come through... sadly for him he followed through to the wall I think. The the rain got heavy & my hard wets were rubbish, no heat & no grip. So I'd gained nothing by gambling on them. From there to the end of the "race", it was just a case of taking it in turns to go off at the braking zones (despite now having soft wets that were also running cold). That's not racing, that's surviving . Dave I would fully support removing 100% rain as an option.

& Hal may have got held up in that too No problem mate. I was not going to pull away until all cars were safely past me after that. Due to the chaos that I caused a corner earlier, so the time I lost was mainly my doing. Seemed like karma giving me immediate pay back anyway. It was just part of a chain of events that I caused anyway. Sorry again guys.

After watching the replay I can see that I was indeed about to make a move that would have taken out MJ but, I turned back away from the track before rejoining. I can also see that MJ had no way of knowing that I would have turned back away from the track. He had to react before I turned away again. My rejoin was not well telegraphed enough. Also as my race was already not going so well, I needed to be more careful not to effect the GT2 race. Sorry to MJ and Legzy.

There definitely seems to be some oddities with it. Obviously bugs. For example I did a race today in another league and as I was flipping through the tire choices I was presented with: Soft Slicks, Intermediates, Hard Slicks, Intermediates, Hard Wets, 6. 1st of all I thought they were all supposed to show up as numbers. Now why Intermediates was in place of medium slicks I can only assume was because I had auto tire selection on so for the damp track at the start it was on intermediates I guess. However I did not try selecting that Intermediate selection and seeing if it would have medium's on the board. As Dave already mentioned, always double check your choices on the board anyways. Edit: I always miss the wet weather races...that's not fair.

I quit at about half as the fun of driving went outta window. So: Dave I would fully support removing 100% rain as an option.
I can agree with that. The most fun of dynamic weather for me is the track getting wet or getting dry. Would be ok with stable rain, but not flooded - not for more than a few minutes, anyway. Then getting dry again. GT1s + flooded + Oschersleben = TT
