All members welcome. Grid/server capacity: 28 Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (14 laps = ~40mins) Track: Hockenheim Download thisCars allowed: Alfa Romeo GTA, Ford Mustang, Lotus Cortina This race will use the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0. Time of Day Setting: 10:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Server: simracing.org.uk WPC Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. (4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings pageSpecial Notes: None

That was great fun!! I wasn't sure if the Alfa would even be competitive here but was please to see I was just a bit off some of the Mustangs times. I really don't like the Mustang to drive so I figured I'd see how the little Alfa would do. At the start I figured I was going to have to give up my second place to Syd's Mustang and that how it went. I was able to hang on to 3rd and started to hassle Syd a bit. We were side by side a couple of times before I was able to get by and got a small gap. At that point Ade had made his way through the pack at was now right on Syd which is just what I needed to get a bit more of a gap. After a lap or two Ade was past Syd and was now just a few seconds behind me and closing in . I think I raced looking backwards more than looking forwards trying to break the draft as best as I could. Ade and I did the according thing for the rest of the race. I got through the corners fast with a good exit gap and then Ade would close right up to my back bumper right before the braking zone. Over and over. Ade was driving very consistent and if anything was being extra fair by not using the draft to blast past me which I think he could of done a couple of times . In the end Ade and I had a couple of Chip and Dale moments on the last lap . I got a slightly slower exit on the last chicane(Senna corner) and look in my mirror and saw Ade had a great exit so I figured I was done for. Ade cleared me before the right hander(Agip corner) but left me room on the outside which allowed me to get up side by side before Sachs corner. I was on the inside going into Sachs which allowed me back through. I thought for a second or two... Said to myself "Ade certainly deserves the position having raced me in such a sporting way earlier(no passing with draft) and didn't even need to give me room through the last Agip corner" so I pulled to the side flashed my lights and thought again with my best English accent "Good show, old chap! " A big congrats to Pelle who might be even faster now that he has to use a G25 after retiring his Microsoft wheel,Ade for the cracker of a race. To all the other participants as well. Great turnouts lately And Oulton to look forward too

Have not run race since we last raced in this series...where everything went wrong with my good old MS SideWinder. I have no idea on how many sets there are worn out after over 10 years...it was incredibly good to GTL, GPL & more. Unfortunately, several years ago Microsoft stopped making more of this wheel, but I was lucky to find new, until now. :'( Really hard to put a G25 up...so it works properly & do the things you expect. Henry has fortunately made a G25 guide & Lucas said I had to choose Mustang at Hockenheim...& I must admit I was lucky. Grats Ade & NRJ...& to all you other. Really nice result of GTLDK Forgot to tell, fantastic feeling to have a steering wheel that works & could keep 100% concentration on driving.

Obviously was a little bit confused yesterday as I was prepared to race at Oulton which is scheduled only this Thursday So I had not time for practice, did only 4 or 5 laps (I must admit - I really don't like Hockenheim) and choose my setup from 60Oesterreich some weeks ago, which there was not too bad at all. Race was ok during the first laps, had short battles with Tony and Phil, but after lap 5 the handling of the car worsened considerably and I had great problems with onesided braking and keeping the car on track. So I got 4 (!) Stop & Go penalties within 2 laps (seems that the game/simulation or AIW is unable to to distinguish between different kinds of leaving the track - intention or sincere problems), came in for the first one, ignored the second and consequentially got a DQ one lap later..... Stayed online watching the battles between Navin and Ade and between Henry and Goldtop which was fun indeed. Grats to the podium and GTLDK Racing Team Hoping for a better one on Thursday at Oulton

Ade did start at the back of the grid with Jamera so I guess he didn't record a qually time.

No practise for me as I wasn't sure if I'd make the race or not but know the track well from F188. Was a bit quicker in the stang, but chose the Alfa as I'd had so much fun chasing the stangs last time out and it didn't disappoint. Lost a few places on the first lap with those long straights but just managed to hang on to Matt before he gradually pulled away leaving me for a lonely few laps. Matt then went off track at Agip allowing me to sneak through and we had a nice battle until I made a mistake at Clark Curve chicane. Henry passed me on the way up to Senna and we then had a great battle to the end of the race. Great stuff Henry...such a pleasure to be able to race so close and fair. Congrats to Pelle for the win and his outstanding pace and welldone podies.....I'm sure we can find Pelle another Microsoft wheel somewhere

Well pleased with practice and qualifying - 2 new PBs. Race was a disaster, made good start found room down inside of track but got caught by nudging on T1 despite going on grass and getting a cut track warning. At first chicane under steered off on the second part and kissed barrier, getting 2nd warning. Car handled like a pig so pitted for repairs to body and suspension, also changed tyres to be on safe side.
Not long after rejoining got a stop and go which I took. Decided enough was enough when I got 2nd stop and go.

Bill, so sorry that you felt your evenings racing was ruined by cuts. I decided to use the flags rule for this circuit as the temptation to "deviate" from the legal path may have proved to strong for some gentlemen drivers. If possible, and as Geoffers suggested in an other events post's, we will try to run races without the flags on. My race was very quiet so like Bill I just concentrated on PB's. BTW what happened to Jamera, he never made the start grid?

BTW how many of you guys are running with shifters, H gate or sequencial?
I have just strated using the 6 speed shifter and clutch, amazing fun and so much more immersive, but bugger me I'm slow with it lol
