No chance, I don't get on with the fastest car, the Daytona Coupe,
Best news I've had in weeks!!! Good news Clive, I had an intensive test session with the Daytona Coupe last night & eventually got a setup that I'm reasonably happy with. Still probably be lucky to see the chequered flag though. Oh dear! To be honest, I'm not getting on too well with the Daytona either.

I can't download the track - the link in the first post seems to lead nowhere. Any alternatives?

Still probably be lucky to see the chequered flag though. Well I didn't see the chequered flag! Made a mess of the first lap, went off 3 times, settled down a bit & picked off a few of the slower cars. Then after about 12 laps I got a bit bored of driving carefully & started pressing on a bit, inevitably this led to more 'offs' & eventually a big smack-up which finished the car. Congrats to the finishers, cya all at Snetterton.

Shame Dana dropped, we could have some fun at the tail end Only of your idea of fun is watching me careen off into a barrier. I was running decent mid-pack laptimes in offline practice but just couldn't get the car to behave once I joined the server and decided to sit this one out rather than wreck myself and potentially others.

That didn't stop Geoffers Well, it did in the end. But others have said that the car they have on-line has been totally different in feel to the one they have practiced with off-line. Good idea to run as much practice time on the server as possible. Even running in a USA time zone you will probably find Federico in there. Wonder why he's so damn quick?

It is unusual for me (and some others) to not have an off or two during a race I bent the steering twice last night, had to wait at one time to let people past before i could get going again, and was even slower afterwards, I managed to keep ahead of Frex in his Elan, but couldn't make any impression on Swifty in the Ferri I probably should have taken the Daytona and would no doubt have been faster but I wanted to vary the field a bit, I am never competing for the lead with the faster drivers we have, so mid pack is where the fun is for me.

Amazing that a 427 was 2nd and 3rd. I tried the rancid heap and couldn't get out of the 16s.
I decided to start in 2nd as I am prone to do but when the chap in front of me didn't move with the lights I found myself going backwards at an alarming rate. I made it past a Ferrari at the end of lap 1 and then I got past Evil after he'd taken to the grass. I figured I'd be able to catch and pass my bruvver as he was driving the 427 monster but the ratbag just pulled away from me.
My race was not about catching Clive L it was about desperately trying to stay ahead of EC. Every time I thought I'd got away from him he suddenly arrived back on my boot. A couple of times I thought he'd get me but each time either he got a bit sideways or I managed to put a few decent corners together. On the penultimate lap he was only half a second back and I was preparing myself for a pretty torrid last lap. Then relief, I saw him spin at the end of the main straight and that was me for a gentle toddle round the last lap to 4th.
Rouen exposes my weakness at slow corners. I'm much more at home hammering through a corner like eau rouge than I am driving round a simple 2nd gear 90 degree bend. And as for hairpins, I'm hopeless at them.
Happy with 4th though and pleased to see a few more people came out to play

Was lonely in third, had a brain freeze and slid backwards along the rail, that dropped me down to 8. So hoping for a bit more action this time, but alas no. All who I got close to decided to crash. So again lonely, but this time in 6th place. Evil did give me a glimmer of hope with his sudden drop in time, but not enough laps in it to do anything about it.
