Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1204s

Davor Mirkovic is trying to pass Adam Parle on the inside through the last corner but gets very wide causing contact between both cars, forcing Adam off track. Adam manages to keep control over the vehicle and gets back passed Davor.

No driver looses anything in particular and the passing driver is still behind. Also prior to this incident Adam did almost the same to another driver, so Davor gets off by a warning.

Server replay time: 1253s

Davor Mirkovic is behind Adam Parle as they are closing on the chicane. Because Adam is in the Corvette, he has to brake a bit earlyer than Davor, causing Davor to rear-end Adam.

Davor should've been prepared for this as he's been behind Adam for at least a couple of turns, and should know that Adam needs to take it easy through turns. But because of the severity of an impact this is for Adam, Davor gets 2 places lost as penalty.

Server replay time: 1538s

Jebstone Boppman is catched by the leaders, Jeffrey Ruskus and Madd-RIP, when he's entering the last turn a bit hot, which makes him go slightly off track. Then Jeffrey takes advantage of this and is getting along side with Jebstone as Jebstone is trying to rejoin the track. This makes Jeffrey loose it a bit, letting Madd passed.

Once off track you should not rejoin until it's safe to do so without obstructing other vehicles. Because Madd-RIP was so kind to let Jeffrey go by, no places were lost, and Jebstone did probably not see Jeffrey in his mirrors, and did maybe think it was safe to rejoin, his penalty is reduced to 1 place lost.

They don't differ alot Grin
Both pretty not-boxed-shaped to me Grin

Well in Gran Turismo (the first one) it did actually look like a box. That's the first time I've seen a picture of the real one.

Is it an open choice on the E-type?

Yes any E-Type. I recommend you use the faster one though as the slower one will be a bit off the pace of the Vette and Elan here.

I was just double checking, I'm planning on Vetting at the moment ... a few praccy laps may change my mind though.

I'll see what I can do setupwise. I feel it's my duty to make more people love muscle cars Wink

Gonna go with the little Lotus on this one. DucFreak's soundpack makes it sound so good, I can't resist.

It's got some power for such a small thing, and it's pretty tight on the corners. It does like to lose it on the uphill chicane, tho.

Yep, that's the one I thought it was. I drove one for years in Gran Turismo, couldn't stand the thing. I just hope the Elan will be able to keep up with them!

Elan should be the fastest car here.

Then I'll definitely be driving it! I might not finish last for once!

Stupid question, but is Dijon-Prenois one of the standard tracks or do I need to download it?

That's no priority Wink. But you are right, Elan can do 1:13, E-type 1:15 and Vette...dunno, 1:15 I think.

Hi all

I'm not sure if this is the right place to say what I want to say but I will do it anyway and if it is not I guess it will get deleted.

I have been racing online now for 18 months and although I am not quick I can usually keep the car on the track. A couple of weeks ago I enjoyed one of the best races ever when I was able to race in company with some usually very fast guys purely because my car was quicker. But being able to race with them, not hit them and spend lap after lap actually racing them was just great fun. I knew they were not going to hit me so I could concentrate on racing and not worry about what they were doing.

So I am going to point out what I think the differences between racing on a server like this and racing on a public server or the AI are.

Firstly you are not racing against anybody, you are racing with them. You are not racing so you can enjoy yourself. You are racing so everybody enjoys themselves.

Every other car on the track is being driven by somebody like you who wants exactly the same as you do. To have a good race and to have fun. Yes you want to be quick, yes you want to finish as high up as possible. But so does everybody else. Respect that.

Don't try and hold every corner, whatever the consequences. Accept that the guy beat you to it because he was quicker. Let him get by and follow him, try and get him back. On a server like this you are no longer just trying to beat the guy in front you are trying to race him and beat him. There is a huge difference.

See you all Thursday.

It's a standard track, the shorter of the two Dijon tracks.

well said madmac, i hate contact, and try my hardest to not hit people, even if it means i loose a few seconds. its about racing the cars around u. not trying to win the race on the first lap.

gotta say, i had a great race on thursday everyone i raced seemed a fair player. im looking forward to dijon, and i think most people will be fast since its a standard track. so its gonna be close.
