Not tried the track yet... couldn't we have a long distance race somewhere interesting? Be on later tonight if the server is up Well I'm not usually a fan of Monza, but on this version with these cars I could hotlap all day I'll be on the server after our GTL race, if I'm not dragged kicking and screaming down the pub by my well meaning mates that is.

Will miss this, and most of the races I would normally be at for some time as I am not at home as much and am "otherwise engaged" with a new romance

Tried the mod for the first time yesterday. First I took the Zakspeed and after tweaking the setup a bit I did a good lap in my opinion...then took the Mclaren and while talking in the phone I drove one-handed and did a lap time 6 seconds faster. The setups were basically the same and while the Zakspeed was awful to drive and slow the Mac was over 30 kmh faster on the straigth and easy to handle. Now I see why there is a car ranking in place. So if I wanted to take part in this race, what car should/could I drive?

So if I wanted to take part in this race, what car should/could I drive? You are welcome to join us As you've discovered, the cars vary a greatly in performance and our aim in this series is to provide as close a grid as we can to promote close racing which is why we have the car ranking and allocation in place. From your performance in Sunday's SGT race, I'd say you would fall into the pretty quick category. I suggest you take the AGS. It is a sweet handling car and while it might not get you to the front of the grid at Monza, it will certainly give you other drivers to race with and provide a realistic challenge for the rest of the season. You'll need to test the AGS for pitting if you intend to stop for fuel as some cars won't restart after refuelling. The workaround is to make sure you have no buttons assigned for ignition or starter and you car will then restart automatically. Other drivers might also want to be reminded of this.

Seriously, do the right thing. Women hope men will change after the wedding. But they don't. Men hope women won't change after the wedding. But they do.

Please Note:
There is time to be gained by running out wide over the rumble strips at the exit of Ascari. I'd like to just remind all drivers that 2 wheels must remain within the white lines at all times during qualifying and race. Please feel free to report anyone who disregards this for moderation.

Can't believe it connection issues i think were causing stutters on the pace lap and then in the first chicane it stuttered again so i aimed off track and when the screen came back i rejoined last. Then it happened again in the lesmo's and i lost control :'( game over. Good track tho! Need to learn estoril now!

A couple of little spins early on put me at the back, but I gained places back as others made mistakes and got to my pitstop in 5th.....almost No idea what happened, but as I was entering the pits I locked up and went into the armco suffering 2 minutes worth of damage. Rejoined with Legzy about 45 seconds up the road and seemed to be able to gain a bit/lose a bit through the sectors while the gap remained the sameish for a few laps. Legzy pitted and came out 15 secs behind me, but then started closing by a second a lap. I had a big wobble coming out of Para and Legzy eased past, only for me to repass in the slipstream. Unfortunately in my excitement I skewed up my downchanges into he first chicane, spinning and stalling...race over :'(

I was gutted for you, I felt we could have enjoyed a bit of a scrap. :'( Good fun overall, but a 10:25pm race finish is just too late for me on a week night. I should have done a lot better, but I made about 5 offs in the 1st six laps but was still about 4th/5th. Sadly my next off took me into the barriers, followed by a long stop in the pits & back to 2nd last & it was a long lonely race from there. p.s. Big congrats to H@L, who'd of thought you'd earn some ballast this season!

Phew that was hard work! I'm dead chuffed though to have scooped up my first F188 win, though I'm sure my car's superiority, aided with a lack of ballast had something to do with that. Still, a win's a win.....to me at least . I toyed with the idea of going the whole distance without having to pit, but the car felt like driving on ice with the hard tyres on a full tank, so I decided to do two stints on the soft tyre with a pitstop mid-race. On the first lap, Mikko got caught out by my early braking into the Parabolica and we both slewed into the gravel. My apologies Mikko, but I was never that comfortable with the March fat on fuel and the rear tended to be rather nervous on corner entry. The demoted us both to the back of the grid. Mikko shot away but I was making steady progress, passing the odd car and making the most of other's misfortune. By half distance I was up Mikko's gearbox but decided to pit as my rear tyres had seen better days. I assumed everyone would pit soon after me but it became clear Lazlow (Jim I think?) and Mikko were going to try and do the whole race on one set of tyres. The next half was really hard work. I had to claw back a 30 second deficit in about 25 laps. Luckily with the lightening fuel load and fresh tyres, the March was a dream to drive. I managed to catch Lazlow with about 10 to go but Mikko was still lapping quickly on his worn tyres. He had a 10 second advantage on me with 10 laps to go and I thought it would be impossible to catch him. I began to drive nearer the limit, setting personal bests and catching him by about a second a lap. 'God this'll be close I thought' but with 7 to go Mikko sadly lost it at the end of the Rettifilio, allowing me to inherit a fortunate victory. That was one of the hardest races I've done. Many thanks for everyone for the close racing.
