REMEMBER GUYS - the event is two 20 minute races so don’t leave the server after race 1  

2nd Race is reverse grid   the fast guys will have to be patient and pick their passes.  

Rubbing is racing in touring cars but rear end punts or heavy side impacts that cause incidents will create penalties.

Take care exiting the pit lane during qualifying, use your mirrors and wait for cars on a hot lap to pass before exiting as you will be in their way down the hill.

Standing start! Beware cold tyres and brakes, especially down the hill on lap 1.

 

I confirm - the 2 first laps after start containing  a lot o surprises. Highly recommend to test start procedure and first laps like we've done with nfsw on today's morning

i did wonder whether to use tyre warmers as these cars are pretty awful on their cold tyres under braking for the first lap, but dont think they allow it in the real world so no reason why we should. So just use a bit of sense for at least half a lap, no divebombing heroes from the back please as it will cause carnage with a tight pack of cars. Remember there is always race2 reverse grid!

@ Chris, welcome back matey.   Depending on whether Pete can edit the driver entry file i sent him, to put you in a civic in time, as i have no access to my file or skin folders today    otherwise you should be able to join and take one of the blank entries we allowed for hopefully.

Mark, no warmers!
Tyres are still very predictable  in first laps too! But need to be informed ( or managed brake ballance in 2 first laps)

Tyres warm up pretty quickly too with these things, heck, my tires are overheating at the end of lap 2

and dont worry, there will not be tyre warmers! though i found the tyres (or brakes) pretty 'un-predictable' for the first few corners, especially downhill, where it tries to pitch you off into the scenery.

I'm not going to be able to make it tonight, food poisoning at the weekend as wiped me out. I managed to put some laps in off line before you had the server up and was doing 1.00.5 so looks quite good compared to stracker. wish i could be there and in a fit state!

no need to stay away. Will put you missing race 1 down to a technical issue with the car

Frex can connect to server, if he  was late to start 1st race, but must to NOT to do any lap before the second race starts as usually way. In this case he will have last position in 2nd race start.

BUT for join this must to be set in server.cfg:

IS_OPEN=2                  ; 0 = no join, 1 = free join, 2 = free join until 20 seconds to the green light
