Interesting race for me, not really what I hoped for, but nevertheless I finished on P2.
Once again qualifying doesn't go as planned, so I started the 1 hour endurance race from P3 on the grid.
I had a very bad start and lost some places before entering turn 1. As I approached the second chicane, a Mercedes in front of me braked very early and I slightly bumped into his rear while I also got bumped from behind.
Found myself back in P6 with quite some front and rear damage, but in the following laps I moved back up to third, after I overtook fmg ( this wasn't the best overtake from my side, sorry for that) and avoided two cars in front of me which came together in turn 1.
Jeffrey and ChrisR were already quite far ahead at this point and I noticed that I was more than one second per lap slower with my damaged car than I was with a undamaged car. So no chance to get closer to Jeffrey this time
(ChrisR left the game for some reason already).
As I knew that the pit crew would need some time to repair my car I decided to do a normal pit stop with new tires and fuel. Otherwise I would've lost much more time in the pits than I actually lost on the track.
The race ended very unenventful for me with a big gap to Jeffrey but also a big gap to P3 behind me.
So this one was a bit of a unlucky race for me, but I also benefited from the problems of some other competitors (Maikel also looked very fast again, shame you damaged your car as well early in the race)
Next one is Silverstone, right? Also a great track, looking forward to it.
