I was lucky to join you for this round as again (its like it knows when to go wrong!) my computer decided to not boot, want to repair windows etc etc. I had allocated an hour for making a setup and practising and instead I got 3 minutes of qualifying as I rapidly tried to guess suitable gear ratios, guess a wing setting and guess on any tweaks from the Brands setup. Thanks to ChrisR for the final gear speed it was (just) spot on.

Started with double the fuel I put in for Brands and at the back but by T2 I was already up 3 or 4 places?! Settled down and took 5 more laps to really work out how to drive the track in the car. Then had consistent pace for the entire race with just one hiccup when the disk light (yes I have an SSD, no Jeffrey, not an STD) went on for 5-10 seconds and the game just froze. Found myself in the gravel having lost about 10 seconds of time in some worm hole. Found myself in 4th after a while and that's where I stayed for an uneventful rest of the race.

Looked in my event log and there is a "Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued." at just around the time of when the pause was. Google seems to guess that its power management that something turned something off! So I've changed my power plan to HIGH PERFORMANCE don't turn anything off you stupid operating system!

Mildly enjoyable race for me. Only mildly as I kept cocking up but when I wasn't it was great Smiley

Huge sorry to Kal for loosing it on the braking into the chicane at the back straight, spinning in front of you and leaving you nowhere to go but into me Sad Got my back wheel on the grass and I was a passenger after that. Annoying thing was I did it twice in the race, so that makes me a double muppet. Drop down from 5th to 13th and worked my way back up to 7th in the end.

Thanks for the race everyone.

Just noticed, this race had a mandatory pitstop which I didn't do Sad So I guess that's a penalty or a DQ for me. Not sure if anyone else forgot but thought I would be honest as not fair on those who did.

Race didn't go quite as planned for me. Had a couple of last minute tweaks in practise and managed to quali in 2nd, so I was kinda expecting atleast a top 3.

First corner went well, bit of side by side going up to the second chicane, small tap on the but, no worries there. Completely missed the next corner after that and rejoined way down the line. Got abit too impatient and tried to get on the inside of Stephen coming up Ascari with cold tyres. Knew I wasn't gonna make it so decided to cut the curb and go for the grass in order to evade the 2 cars in front. A little spin after that and at the end of L1 I was last with rear and front damage. Oh well, I thought, still an hour to go, my trusty pitcrew will fix it for me Grin

Managed to get a couple spots back even though I was losing about a 2 seconds a lap, so I pitted in L10. Few new tyres, couple of gallons of fuel and a new front and rear wing, shouldn't take that long........

Took them 1 minute and 20 seconds!!!! censored

Got back on track right in front on nfsw just to be lapped. Had some pretty good pace after that and still got back to P5, bit disappointing in the end though.

Still, I enjoyed the 1 hour race. Looking forward to the Silverstone.

PS: anybody know a couple of pitcrew guys looking for some work?? Got quite a few spots available all of a sudden on my team  Grin

Interesting race for me, not really what I hoped for, but nevertheless I finished on P2.
Once again qualifying doesn't go as planned, so I started the 1 hour endurance race from P3 on the grid.
I had a very bad start and lost some places before entering turn 1. As I approached the second chicane, a Mercedes in front of me braked very early and I slightly bumped into his rear while I also got bumped from behind.
Found myself back in P6 with quite some front and rear damage, but in the following laps I moved back up to third, after I overtook fmg ( this wasn't the best overtake from my side, sorry for that) and avoided two cars in front of me which came together in turn 1.
Jeffrey and ChrisR were already quite far ahead at this point and I noticed that I was more than one second per lap slower with my damaged car than I was with a undamaged car. So no chance to get closer to Jeffrey this time  Grin(ChrisR left the game for some reason already).
As I knew that the pit crew would need some time to repair my car I decided to do a normal pit stop with new tires and fuel. Otherwise I would've lost much more time in the pits than I actually lost on the track.
The race ended very unenventful for me with a big gap to Jeffrey but also a big gap to P3 behind me.
So this one was a bit of a unlucky race for me, but I also benefited from the problems of some other competitors (Maikel also looked very fast again, shame you damaged your car as well early in the race)
Next one is Silverstone, right? Also a great track, looking forward to it. Wink

Got a PB in qually, but very close to Maikel and nfsw. Thought it wouldn't matter, as they would power by before T1, but I had a good start and was able to defend against Maikel.
When I looked behind there was already a big gap and Maikel and nfsw weren't right behind me anymore  Sad.

Was alone most of the race, and with my timing app not showing anything, I had no idea where everybody was. Shame about the lap 1 problems others had, as times wise it was looking amazing and I thought the race would be epic.

Considering its prime holiday weeks, a 14 car grid is good going  Smiley well done Pete keeping it all going smoothly  Cool
Am I right thinking gp20 again couldn't find the server? Odd that   Undecided

See you all at silverstone! Though bt have allegedly finally swapped me to infinity in my absence so Lord knows what troubles I'll have on my return  Roll Eyes only took them 2 weeks longer than supposed too.

It is odd, Stracker shows he's been on the server at some stage, I suspect only during practice. I've double checked his entry in the entry list and it all makes sense. He is the only one who's not able to find the server AFAIK. As suggested previously I suspect he has a filter that hides it.

So what's the decision on not taking a pitstop, for future reference?

Should be a min 30 second time penalty for missing a pit stop imo (or whatever an average stop takes) but Pete will need to clarify how we enforce it, ie alter your finishing position once time penalty added or make offender start 30+ secs from the pit lane in follow on race. That should Deter!
