Nurburgring and Mondello are both very bad optimized tracks. I also suffer from framedrops, and that's with a 8800GTX. But I think it's the CPU causing problems, as the game is heavy on CPU, and doesn't use dual cores IIRC.
Makes more sense if you swap PSU for CPU.

We did do a race around the Sprint version of Nurby last season with little complaint of fps issues. Maybe the GP version is worse again? The first corners, on first lap will be about as bad as it gets and I'm suffereing about 30 fps there with a 30 car grid but then things go smoothly. I presume that will improve online as my CPU hasn't got to work on AI? For those suffering there maybe some help here https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=791.0 I found turning down track detail helped me out a fair bit.

I can usually pin any bog downs I have in GTL/GTR2/Race to AI, as it's almost always during an accident or spinout when my frames drop, and this is happening even if I can't see the car that's doing it - to much work for the CPU it sounds like. Never had a frame drop online yet, even with smokescreens!

That's the joy of the Corvette - when the tyres are fresh its the fastest out there, after 5-6 laps (2 if you're JR ) you're already losing speed. Makes for a great tactical race. I ran a 40-minute Srouk fun race at Spa in the 65 Vette and although the handling gets massively entertaining for the final 3rd, the tyres do hang on, so a one-stopper is perfectly feasible. I've only ever had one puncture in GTL when I ran a 60 minute stint in a 906 at Spa, never blown one of the 65 tyres.

After seeing Mikes Vette pace last night, the Healey might be somewhat out gunned here. Still, it will be fun and I sincerely hope the tyres fall off the Vette very quickly. Don't ask for sympathy Seems there are no big problems with fps? That said, there may be some trouble negotiating T1 cause of it so please all take extra caution there tonight. We all know that low fps may be an issue at that point so it will not be considered a valid excuse after the event. Anyone going all banzai on T1 of an Enduro race will recieve one of Pseudos much feared chinese burns

And a kick in the virtual goolies a reminder for pitting in GTL, the AI turns off your pit limiter when you stop in your box, so dont forget to re-engage it when you drive off or you will be hit with a stop & go.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Vette is the fastest during qually, but the tyres won't last long so the pace will dorp very quickly, also the thing needs a lot of fuel so it will lose a lot during the stops.
