Hi Guys I cobbled a wet setup for the bimmer(hard wets to hard lol) Though I was going to be ok but it just slid off on parabolicker and I got a puncture. Then a really strange thing at one of the chicanes a car was blocking the road I took avoiding action was gived a stop go for cutting the track. When I came in I got an extra pit stop not a stop and go . Lost interest after that.cheers gerald

I absolutely hate this no-cutting stuff. Sure for public servers, but ones like ours, we have moderation of races etc, its much more likely to get unfair penalty than rip someone off by crashing into them or using a shortcut to gain time.

I'm with you guys, nothing more annoying than taking avoiding action and getting penalised for it. If anything it is even more stringent in GTL so I say have it on for quali but off for race please.

Its far worse in GTL. I took too much curb (my inside wheen was still in tho) and got a penalty, so I gave up.
Can these things be disabled? Would UKGTR/L consider it if they could?

One that gets me is Hockenheim and the last 2 right handers in GTL. If you drift too wide, i.e. take a longer and thus inefficient line you get warned Not sure if it can be disabled, if it could we would have to consider very carefully the cutting of corners issues. Currently only the reported race incidents are examained and not every lap of every car, thus cheating is possible if no one reports it. There are places where this is important IMHO, Bus Stop at Spa for intance.

How many times do you have to cut the track before the game gives you a penalty?

It'd be nice if it could flag a racer as needing investigation, maybe even flag times when they were out of track. But I'm into dream territory again...

It appears to me the game penalises you for getting between 2 points too quickly. It could forget any incident where the overal lap time is not too quick and where no places have been gained during the incident that weren't given back after say 2 or 3 more corners (count a complex as 1 corner) The real downer is when you mess up, go off, lose a shed load of time getting out of the kitty litter but are still liable for a penalty. But again I suspect this is too involved. Maybe GTR3

I have had stop/go penalty on penultimate lap in the cup races but thought thats OK I will pit for penalty, cross finishing line, and all will be fine. I know shuey did this a while ago but I got dq'd (fuming after 7 bloody laps around Spa in Cobra). Have rules been changed now?
