Short & sweet. Out with less than one lap completed Doing quite nicely in my BMW until I got a tap and ended up in the wall with broken suspension Pops

Was really looking forward to this & feeling pretty confident but went out to warm up then next session came up so waited for race & it said I hadn't qualified!!
Any ideas anyone? or does this just happen sometimes?
Hope you all had a good one.
Cheers,
codsworth

Well I managed to blow ANOTHER engine , thought I'd try the Bi-Turbo for a laugh, done loads of praccy in it and got down 1:53/1:54 in dry race setup. Arrived on track to find it p***ing down. Decided to stick with the beasty and quickly cobbled together a wet setup. Qualified with 2:00 which I thought was ok. Race started and I seemed to be doing ok, quite enjoying it really, except in the wet with that you need to be braking about 250yrds out, which made me a bit of a sitting duck for out braking. Anyway going along swimmingly down the straight when there was a pop and started slowing, checked rear view to find a flaming (quite literaly) smoke trail. oh well lets hope for a dry race next week

"#$%&/()= I would really need a pit adviser. I started with 100 L and when there was 30 min past I decided it wasn't gonna work. I pitted and somehow managed to make them change my tires (which were fine) and not pour any fuel. Then I had to save fuel, short shift etc. and was losing places (well, due to some mistakes, too). Three laps before the time ran out I decided it was time to pit if I'm gonna make it at all. I pitted and just when I crossed the line the next time it was finished - I would have enough fuel for that! I would have finished before Rich_A and now I was behind Matjaz. What a sorry bum I am! :'(

Real shame that JonM didn't make it, sort of anti-climax to the championship which with my comfortable 3rd place tonight sees me take the championship. Was looking forward to the duel.
Was a bit dissapointed that it rained again at Monza, seems to be our most rained upon track in UKGTR, although I guess that means it's the track we've most practiced in the wet too. No incidents the whole race, just cruised home to 3rd. Well done to everyone that finished, wet weather racing is quite a skill. Backmarkers were exceedingly generous as usual so thanks there.
Congratulations to Matjaz on the NGT championship win and Greg on the G3 Championship.
Have to work it out but I think the Ze Insane Penguins have won the GT team championship and dERacing the NGT! Well done to all, great stuff alround.

Reasonably steady race for me, car only ever span at the most slowest speed and minimum revs, usually in the first two chicanes...bizarre, like it just loses all grip (would that be a coast/power setting??) Brought it home 3rd in NGT i think which i'm pleased with considering the mighty Matjas was one of the two in front. Don1 caught me so fast on the straight that i moved out the way thinking it was a lapping GT car , i was obviously running too much wing?...i had 2 front, 8 rear? Couldnt stay with him and coasted to 3rd on worn tyres. Was gutted it was wet as i did a 1:52.8 in dry spec praccy and had a fast steady race pace. That was only my second ever wet race...they are bloody hard work for an hour Well done to Leuven and Matjas on their wins....they earnt it in those conditions
