oh i went to town to cheer myself up after a sh*tty year, bought Heuskinkveld Sprint pedals, VRS DD Wheel (20Nm) and a TrackRacer TR180 sim-rig
Hardly used my real cars this year so money i've saved on them i used towards my sim fun to make it feel more realistic, plus i can sell/have sold some of my Fanatec gear for decent money to recover some dosh. My triceps and lats are getting a damn good workout with this DD wheel
I should add, i've been using a playseat evolution for about 10yrs and my ageing back was beginning to suffer as you nearly sit on the floor and it wobbled about with the ever improving-strength hardware, hardly ideal.
All the kit i bought is an improvement, but biggest surprise was the pedals. My Fanatec V3's made all my previous Logitech/Thrustmaster stuff feel like toys. The Heusinkvelds make my Fanatecs feel like a toy!
Hence why i needed a proper rig as i now have 20N torque in the steering and upto 58kg braking pedal pressure!
Been two weeks of pain configuring it all though and getting the ideal cockpit position...nearly there
