So I can have the track pack on one or the other but not both? Don’t seem to be able to reinstall it on GTR2 without removing it from PnG.
That is how it seemed when I tried. We wont be using the "track pack" again this season, so you can pop it back ready to GTR2 after this race if you want. Luckily there should only be about six/seven of us affected by this (people who race UKGTR2 & UKPnG) judging by Goodwood. As I said, I'd appreciate you helping me out by PM'ing Dave about it. He may or may not choose to alter the track pack to make it easier for future use . Let me know how you get on?

Finally managed to spot the marker boards going into the second chicane (well ok four laps out of five) and have managed an 18.5 in the MustangNxx (Can't remember the other initials) Which track is running on the server? It doesn't say it's the UKGTR version.

Not looking forward to installing the track going by Clives troubles It's quite painless. It's just that you don't appear to be able to install the track pack on both GTR2 and PnG. If you don't race with UKGTR then you have no problem. When it wants to install on GTR2 just redirect it to your PnG install. Thimple! tch tch

The pack is an ancient one, done by Mr Shark himself before I started doing NSIS-based installers.
For the server we have a 'clever' hack which allows tracks to be shared between both installs, but it's not suitable for end-user use (you need Windows PowerShell installed and there are some restrictions on what drives things can be on).
The only solution at present is to install it to one at a time.
You can also manually copy the UKGTR_* directories between the GameData\Locations folders if you want (and if you know what you're doing!).

I'm just about certain that the server was running Monza GP 2003.
It is now running UKGTR Monza GP 2004.
Which track are we really going to use? And is there any difference? I'm in GPL land tonight so can't find out until later.

I've now released a new track pack which can be installed in two places at once. Note that you can only uninstall the most recent from the Control Panel, but you can uninstall any installation by directly running the uninstaller in the appropriate directory (i.e. your GTR2 or P&G directory). It's not a perfect solution but it's better than it was. EDIT: if Windows had properly working symlinks like a real operating system we wouldn't be having this problem.

Thanks Dave. This new SROU installer works fine giving the choice of deleting GTR2 and browing to select the applicable directory. Bill

The current Monza track is a hell of a lot fussier about corner cutting at the second chicane than the previous one was. Perhaps even over zealous? I'm sure I've still had one wheel on the curb when it has objected. Does it check front and rear wheels separately? ie Do you have to have at least one front wheel still on the track and one rear? Coming out of the last chicane I'm a bit sideways and whilst the right rear is still on the track the front right may have transgressed a tad.

I haven't tested it yet, but I'd hope it follows the long standing rule of at least 2 wheels on at all times.

My understanding is if there is green concrete outside the kerbs it's legitimate to use it for 2 wheels or all four at places like Hockenhiem on exit from the first chicane. Bill

Don't worry. If Oily's racing he'll get enough S/G's for all of us

How does PnG tell you that a SnG is needed?
I guess that in GTR2 they yell at you on the radio?
